Inspections Lead 

Are you passionate about cyber and security challenges in information technology, associated with threats and vulnerabilities? Do you have a SECRET or TOP SECRET clearance and can travel? Join our team of Cyber Risk professionals who collaborate with government agencies, IT professionals, and clients to support cyber security and risk consulting engagements around the world.

Work you'll do as a Security Authorization Lead you will:

Implement Risk Management Framework Step 4 (Assess) Tasks as outlined NIST 800-37. This phase addresses specific actions taken or planned to correct deficiencies in the security controls and to reduce or eliminate known vulnerabilities in the information system.

The Contractor shall:

  • Review RMF1-3 Package;

  • Develop the Security Controls Assessment Plan (SCAP);

  • Set-up an conduct assessment kickoff meeting;

  • Draft the Security Controls Assessment (SCA);

  • Set-up and attend interviews and demos, and complete the FIPs 200 Checklist;

  • Document Assessment Findings within the CA/CST internal Tracker Database;

  • Create the Security Assessment Report (SAR);

  • Complete the Assessment Package;

  • Send the final package to IA;

  • Ensure all A&A documentation support conforms to the Government-approved SOP/annual work plan or individual work requests agreed to with the COR or designee and is consistent with the NIST guidance;

  • Conduct advanced penetration testing at all levels; and

  • Conduct Static (manual and automated) and dynamic codes reviews.The Contractor shall support the RMF Step 5 (Authorize) activities as follows:

  • Work with IRM/IA to develop the Authority To Operate Report (ATOR) and any appropriate memos;

  • Prepare the RMF 5 authorization package and deliver to IRM/IA; and

  • Route for any signatures needed (i.e. System Owner, DAA, DAS).

  • 10 or more years of experience with federal government facility inspections

  • Ability to support engagements of greater than average size and complexity

  • Knowledge of policies, procedures, development, and implementation of vulnerability identification, scanning, analysis, remediation tactics, and reporting

  • Knowledge of risk analysis and vulnerability remediation plan development

Education: Bachelor's Degree or higher

Preferred qualifications:

  • One or more of the associated certifications:

    • CAP Certified Authorization Processional issued by Int'l Information System Security Certification Consortium

    • CISSP - Certified Information Systems Security Professional issued by Int'l Information System Security Certification Consortium

    • OCP Oracle 11g or higher Database Certified Profession issued by Oracle

    • COBIT Control Objectives for Information and Related Technologies - issued by Information Systems Audit and Controls Association (ISACA)
