Job Description:

This is a Lead Engineer capable of technically leading a team (which will include 3 offshore candidates)

-The team will be a run as kanban and activities will include (but never be limited to): maintenance and development/support of common framework APIs common across our other scrum teams, Vulnerability management (scanning, reporting, automating and remediation), API Certification methods and procedures, supporting acceptance, certification and integration environmental issues, enhancing and automating CICD pipeline to be used by our other scrum teams.
A bit about the API Team/Organization:
Our API team is experiencing exponential growth due to tremendous business demands and our ongoing need to modernize our core API Services.
The teams support the Credit Card business. We are the 'middle layer', fielding requests from customer facing "above the glass" applications and connecting/retrieving/updating data on the back-end mainframe systems through zOS connect. We are also in the midst of streaming much of that back-end data to NOSQL Cassandra. Our APIs will use intelligent orchestration to get the requested data as efficiently as possible..

- API Gateways: Apigee, Service Mesh ISTIO, zOS Connect
- Logging, Alerting Tools: Splunk, ELK
- Programming Languages: Java/J2EE, Springboot, PL/SQL, COBOL
- Web: SOAP, REST, XSD, JSON, XML, Apollo GraphQL
- Data Management: NOSQL, Cassandra, MongoDB, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, Event Streaming, Kafka
- Operating System: Windows, Linux, zOS
- Information Security Vulnerability Management: Black Duck, Twistlock, Fortify, PRISMA, SonarQube
- DevSecOps CICD Pipelines: Urban Code Deploy, EDSE Pipeline (Cloudbees Core) aka Cloudbees Jenkins, Rancher
- Source Code Management: Gitlab
- Cloud: AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure, Microservices, Containers, Docker, Kubernetes
- Agile Tools: JIRA, JIRA Dragonboat, Confluence
