IntraEdge has an urgent need for a Java Performance Tester in Scottsdale, AZ.
Performance Testing Responsibilities as a member of a team
Establishes criteria for performance test scripts
Follows technology trends and advancements in the field of performance testing, is able to research and implement new performance testing technology and processes
Works with the team to coordinate all phases of product development and implementation, including, but not limited to post-production support
Serves as a mentor and advisor to less senior Performance Testers, and provides input for their performance reviews
Integrates automated performance test cases into nightly scheduled run as needed
Works directly with business and development team stakeholders to identify SLAs and critical transactions for applications and systems
Designs, documents, manages and executes performance tests and produces performance reports based on test results
Monitors and analyzes system health metrics to identify performance bottlenecks while executing extensive performance tests in multi-threaded environments
Advises and participates in the design and maintenance of the QA staging environments
Works with Performance Analysts, developers and Infrastructure to identify and resolve programming inconsistencies and opportunities that impact application and system performance
Documents defects related to application and/or system performance
Follows the Company’s software development life cycle (SDLC) and participates in design reviews, validation of requirements and specification documents
As a Senior Performance Tester, is expected to resolve interdependencies and problems that may arise by working with other teams as necessary.
Possesses a working knowledge of all phases of software development lifecycle and understands the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment
Participates in Continuous Strategic Improvement (CSI) initiatives

Leadership Responsibilities as a member of the Product Development Department
Serves as a subject matter expert on his or her application team, provides technical guidance and assists less experienced department members with questions, priorities, and problem resolutions; takes a leadership role in developing functional discipline standards and techniques.
Demonstrates business acumen, analytical, technical and/or application expertise. Perceived as a “go-to” person for expertise on application and system performance
Undertakes and completes complex assignments under minimal guidance to deliver high quality solutions.
Interact with various technical teams to proactively identify cross-functional dependencies, requirements and solutions to minimize risk.
Proactively contributes to the improvement of core development/test environments when those environments require changes.
Functions as a mentor to department members providing training and ongoing support for individual, functional and departmental skill development.
Leads the evaluation, implementation, adoption of departmental/functional discipline initiatives within his or her team.
Participates in the design and code review processes as well as test plan reviews.
Participates in the training of new employees in this department.
This position requires a minimum of 5 years of quality assurance analysis experience, including a basic understanding of the software development life cycle, databases (DB2 and SQL), file structures, system design and analysis. Experience with HP Quality Center/ALM, HP Load Runner/Performance Center 12.0, Protocols: HTTP/HTML, TruClient, Web Services(SOAP/Restful), and Java. Dynatrace One Agent, HP Sitescope is necessary. Experienced in C. JAVA performance bottleneck analysis experience - memory leaks, capacity planning. Some Experience with CI/CD development integration. Experience with Hybris is Strongly Recommended. Hana application testing is a plus as well. Experienced using SQL (Intermediate level) to verify data used in performance testing. Understanding of Java Garbage Collection. Experience with the review of software requirements documents, risk analysis and specification documents is necessary. Excellent writing skills are required. This position requires excellent communication, organizational, customer service and problem solving skills.
