IRG is seeking a Jboss /COTS System Admin Administrator for its client at Nashville, TN.
Role Title: Jboss /COTS System Admin Administrator
Location: Nashville, TN
Duration: 1 year
Overall 5+ years of experience in configuring and Installing COTS on RHEL.
4+ years expertise on JBOSS Application and Webservers
Installation, administration and troubleshooting JBoss Application Server and JBoss Core Services (JBCS) Web Server, preferably JBOSS EAP 7.3 and JBCS 2.4.24
experience in Jboss clustering and failover in standalone and domain mode.
Experience in Mod_jk and mod_cluster configurations, administration and troubleshooting.
Jboss Enterprise Application Deployments using GUI & CLI.
Jboss Configuration changes (e.g.: Data source, MQ,JVM) using GUI & CLI
Jboss EAP upgrades/fix pack install.
Troubleshooting problems related to Authentication, Authorization, Logins, End-User WebContent, Webserver and Jboss Application Server.
Performance tuning of JBoss Application Server and JBoss Core Services Web Server.
Analysis of thread dumps and heap dumps and assist development teams in application performance related issues.
Performs day to day administration tasks like Installation, configuration and administration of COTS applications.
Perform capacity planning of server and track resource utilization.
Research and implement proactive application performance monitoring
Perform regular upgrade or patching of the servers using automation tools.
Automate the redundant administration and maintenance tasks.
Provide technical assistance for troubleshooting and application of patches and system monitoring.
implement procedures for configuration and deployment of production JBoss applications.
Conducted investigation, analysis and resolution methods of performance issues relating to production applications.
monitor production portal application to suggest and implement incident prevention and resolution techniques.
prepare reports and documents from data collected by monitoring and performance metric activities.
suggest continuous enhancements, maintenance and integration functions of software and hardware components.
Work with the infrastructure team to resolve problems relating of system hardware and software components and operator issues.
Strong technical skills to develop shell/Bash scripts to execute daily weekly monthly and yearly maintenance work.
Expected to show independence and initiative to prioritize heavy workload to manage the expectations of project team and to meet communicated deadlines of both projects and operational tasks.
Develops detailed documentation for environments where individual is primary project lead or application Subject Matter Expert and capable of training others on particulars of those environments.
Develop plans associated with upgrading or patching supported environments and has the planning and communication skills necessary to coordinate with diverse group of project teams.
