Title: FPGA Engineer
Fort Collins, CO - (Onsite work)
Duration: Permanent / FTE
Salary: $80K - $90K

**Visa support available via H1B transfer**

Our client has an immediate need for a Firmware FPGA Design Engineer. In this position, you will design, modify, and evaluate VHDL firmware, and/or programmable logic and/or electronic apparatus, components, or circuitry for use in electronic equipment and devices. VHDL experience preferred, You will perform engineering work in basic and applied research, development, and/or design of new products and/or sustaining of existing products.

  • Uses equipment to analyze operating data and conduct experimental tests
  • Designs product architectures to meet specific parameters. Includes critical timing issues, complex algorithms, configuration strategies, interface strategies, etc.
  • Provides detailed technical documentation verifying proof of design feasibility
  • VHDL programming experience preferred
  • DSP development experience preferred
  • Extensive CPLD's and FPGA's (Xilinx preferred). Ability to source VHDL code without supervision for embedded controller applications.
  • Experience with A/D conversion chips, digital I/O control.
  • Spi bus or similar interface knowledge required.
  • Logic hardware design experience schematic design of FPGA logic control boards.
  • Knowledge of PCBA layout also desired
  • Knowledge of oscilloscopes and logic analyzers.
  • Strong and demonstrated digital design skills, including with HDL
  • Experience with Xilinx Vivado preferred
  • Minimum of 1-3 year's experience with FPGA digital design
  • BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience and/or education.
