Install, configure, and support an organization's local area network (LAN), wide area network (WAN), and Internet systems or a segment of a network system. Monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users and may perform necessary maintenance to support network availability. Monitor and test Web site performance to ensure Web sites operate correctly without interruption. Assist in network modeling, analysis, planning, and coordination between network and data communications hardware and software. Administer network security measures. Coordinates with the Project and/or Program Manager to ensure problem solution and user satisfaction. Makes recommendations, if needed, for approval of major systems installations.
4 years experience that includes 2 years in a specialized area.
Certifications Microsoft Certified IT Professional, Oracle Solaris System Administrator, Certified Linux Certifications, and Red Hat Certified System Administrator Certification.
High School degree OR 36 months specialized experience, a GED diploma, or completion of an accredited technical training program may be substituted for a High School degree.
