The Salesforce Developer will be responsible for designing and implementing Salesforce solutions-- including functional requirements, coding, support and agile team principles and leadership. This opportunity requires application development skills, writing and collaboration, and strong communication skills. The focus will be on creating and improving Salesforce products that enable our customers and enterprise users be successful on the platform. This position will require working in a small team of individuals focused on core development tasks.
Required Technical Skills:
* B.S. in Computer Science, Software Engineering, MIS or equivalent work experience
* Demonstrated ability to develop RESTful Web Services
* Developer with strong interest in learning Apex, Visualforce
* Any exposure in Salesforce CRM Suite development is a huge plus
* Technical writing and documentation experience a plus
* Experience in practicing agile methodologies, including scrum and continuous integration environments
This position will have an 18-month incumbency period, beginning on the effective date of the position, which must be met before the employee can post for any other lateral State Farm position. Employees may be considered for leadership or Technology Engineer openings at any time, and a promotional position within the same job structure (i.e. Professional/Technical or Para-professional/Support) after 6 months from the effective date of the position. In these cases, the remaining incumbency would be waived. The
incumbency period does not affect the at-will relationship between State Farm and the employee and does not create an employment contract, nor contractual rights.
