Your role, as Systems Administrator at Net Works Consulting Resources, is to provide expert advice in a wide variety of technologies and knows when and how to implement them in small business environments.  The Systems Administrator focuses on ensuring the best possible experience for the customer.  The Systems Administrator has a voice with the client and is expected to provide expert guidance with best-fit solutions that help the client reach their business goals.

Purpose of Job:

To provide our clients with expert support/consulting through solution design, implementation and support to ensure peace of mind for the client.  Be a stellar team player and make sure that we have happy clients.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Upper Level Support ticket resolution and mentoring of Jr. Technicians
  • Client on-boarding and off-boarding
  • Creating proposals and project plans for new solutions to address client needs
  • Management and Support of SMB network and system architecture
  • Utilize our PSA and MSP tools to directly manage and support clients
  • Troubleshooting and Support for ticket escalations for the Service Desk
  • Collaboration with peers
  • Creation of design documents and thorough documentation of solutions for information sharing, team involvement and service desk support
  • Efficiently communicate support ticket and project task status to management and peers

  • Proficient to expert abilities in Windows Server & Client Operating Systems in production networking environments, to date. Server 2012-2019
  • Familiar to Expert in Office 365 & Azure
  • Proficient to Expert abilities (5+years) in MS Exchange 2013-2019
  • Proficient to Expert abilities (5+ years) in Active Directory (Parent and Child Domains, GPOs, GPPS), DNS, Security, Powershell, Network Design, DFS, Folder Redirection, Roaming Profiles, Remote Desktop Services, VPN, Thin Clients
  • Proficient in Remote Desktop Services, Troubleshooting, Business Class Servers, Workstations, Notebooks, Firewalls, Switches, WAPs, routers, print and imaging devices and solutions, UPS, environmental management, data back-up/restoration
  • Familiar to Proficient in secure remote connectivity solutions, VPN, Private circuits, MPLS, RPC/HTTPS, SSL, SSL web certificates etc.
  • Beginner to Expert in Virtualization, NAS, SAN, Fiber-channel, shared storage, blade chassis utilization
  • Proficient in Managed Service concepts and technology, centralized management and monitoring. Experience with PSA and Remote Management and Monitoring (RMM) toolsets a plus (ConnectWise)
  • Familiar to Proficient in Disaster Recovery planning and solutions
  • Proficient in virus, malware, and end-point security technologies
  • Familiar to Proficient with mobile devices and messaging technologies
  • Understanding of Cloud computing, SAAS, hosted systems
  • Familiar with MS SQL
  • Desire to work closely with peers, managers, and clients to elevate your business and technical acumen (which includes exchanging ideas, thoughts, peer review, etc.)
  • Ability to give and accept constructive criticism and guidance to and from peers, managers and sometimes clients

  • Familiarity with ConnectWise PSA
  • MCSE, MCITP and/or current Microsoft equivalent certifications and specializations in current versions of Windows Server
