We operate many of the world's busiest and most critical top-level domains (e.g., .com, .net, .edu, .tv, .cc, .jobs, .name, and .gov), plus two of the world’s thirteen Internet root servers. Our products also include Distributed Denial of Service (DDoS) Protection Services, Recursive DNS with DNS Firewall, and Managed DNS. Our infrastructure services are relied upon every day by the world’s 3 billion Internet users.
And we do so at tremendous scale: we process 119-165 billion DNS transactions a day. Making sure these transactions perform well, and keeping our services and our customers safe in the face of constant attacks, is a fun and rewarding challenge.
The Site Reliability Engineer will be part of the Application Delivery team within the Infrastructure Services organization. This position will be heavily involved in the development, operation, and automation of the tools and services supporting Verisign’s Product Engineering and Production Operations organizations.
The ideal candidate will have a background in both software development and UNIX systems administration. The candidate will join a highly collaborative team that controls its own destiny, responsible for the research and development, testing, automation, deployment, and operations of all services supported by the team.
