Job Description

Our client is seeking local candidates only for this Jr - Mid level project manager role, the core job duties are: 

This Project Manager will have responsibility to deliver large, complex projects of strategic importance, using Client's specific project delivery framework. The main focus of this role will be to support Back Office Portfolio, with possible secondary support for the Infrastructure Portfolio. Typically, there are 10-15 members on each project team.  Each PM has a project load of 3-5 projects with budgets ranging from a $200K to a million and typically the timeline of the projects is less than one year. This PM will work with the BA’s to support a team of specialists. Each PM has a Project Analyst supporting them who will assists with the reporting, and working with MS Project.  The main scope of work for the Project Manager is to manage and support the Project Leadership Team to a successfully deliver the agreed project scope.

This includes driving the project and tracking progress via multiple processes including:

  • Creation of and tracking against schedule
  • Managing risks and issues
  • Managing creation and tracking of budget
  • Communicating effectively to IT and business leadership
  • Appropriate escalation of issues with PLT and leadership
  • Creation of all applicable PMO project artifacts
  • Managing geographically diverse teams

 Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of project management experience
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Experience using Microsoft suite of tools including MS Project
  • Experience using PPM (Project and Portfolio Management) tool
  • Project management professional accreditation preferred (PMP)PMP
  • Proven track record in building strong business relationships
  • Proven experience working with executive leadership
  • Ability to build strong relationships
  • Proven success in delivering on schedule
  • Strong skills in eliciting and drawing out ideas from team members and empowering people to own them
  • Must be able to provide clear, concise and competent summaries and communication to Director level and up 
  • Needs to be able to see the big picture and support the team members.
  • Experience with the following tools is ideal – MS Office, SharePoint, and MS Project
  • Needs to exude strong leadership skills and good communication skills

 Desired Skills and Expertise:

  • PMP Certification is desired
  • Scrum Master Cert is a “nice to have”
  • SAFe Cert is a plus
  • Experience with ServiceNow is a plus
