The Lead Embedded Risk Specialist is responsible for assisting stakeholders with the identification and timely remediation of risk. The candidate is a top-level contributor that acts independently with minimal direction. The Specialist's ability to form positive relationships and connect with a breadth and variety of management resources is essential. Attention to detail and strong time management skills are also required.

As a Senior Associate, primary responsibilities include supporting other Embedded Risk Managers and Delivery Testing group (ETE) in managing the functions' book of work.

What you'll do:
  • Follow the DTCC processes and methodologies for risk and ETE management
  • Learn to optimally use the tools required for risk management at DTCC such as RAPD, Archer, and MetricStream
  • Follow existing risk and control commitments and requirements
  • Support the IT SIFMU and Risk dept's engagement with control functions but not limited to the following:
  • Internal Audit Department
  • Technical Risk Management
  • Operational Risk Management
  • Regulators / Regulatory Relations
  • IT Risk Community of Excellence (CoE)
  • Key objectives include but not limited to the following:
  • Drive successful and timely completion of commitments and requirements
  • Assist in tracking ERM work such audit actions against defined delivery dates, TRM requirements PEN, FOSS findings, entitlements, processing and tracking of policy deviations, additional artifacts as identified.
  • Assist the Delivery testing team in coordinating ETE book of work.
  • Assist in identifying and implementing corrective course-of-action to close or get agreement on ERM topics (i.e. scheduling appropriate meetings, communications)

  • Minimum of 6 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Knowledge of risk management
  • Knowledge / exposure to Information Technology systems
  • Demonstrated ability to work pro-actively with management and staff
  • Highly motivated, diligent, self-starter, who can set priorities, take initiative and work both independently and proactively in a diverse team environment
  • Work under stress, multitask and be flexible
  • Ability/willingness to help the teams meet aggressive deadlines and objectives
  • Good interpersonal skills with customer service orientation,
  • Project management and planning skills preferred
  • Exposure to security markets, post-trade processing and clearing and settlement infrastructure preferred
  • Critical thinking and analytical skills
  • Ability to manipulate data in a spreadsheet (MS Excel)
  • Knowledge of Power BI preferred
  • Excellent organizational skills, coupled with ability to be versatile and flexible
  • Excellent grammar and style skills; ability to adapt writing style for different audiences and media

The IT SIFMU Delivery Department supports core Clearing and Settlement application delivery for DTC, NSCC and FICC. The department also develops and supports Asset Services, Wealth Management & Insurance Services and Master Reference Data applications.
