Alion is actively seeking an individual with Integrated Product Development Environment (IPDE) experience with specific knowledge of Product Life-cycle management (PLM) software (Siemens Teamcenter / NX) preferred. This position is in support a major US submarine acquisition program.
The IPDE IT Support position reports to the IPDE/Information for a Collaborative Exchange (ICE) manager and performs the following duties:
Provide direct support to the PMS397 IPDE/ICE Manager in efforts to implement IT aspects of IPDE supporting the COLUMBIA Program.
Serve as a subject matter expert to coordinate between contractor and Navy organizations about IT related infrastructure and development to support development of the IPDE tool.
Interface with NAVSEA IPDE users (e.g. PMS397, SEA05, SEA08, Strategic Systems Programs) to develop strategies and IT procedures to support efficient implementation of the IPDE tool.
Work with TEAM SUB ACIO to ensure network infrastructure can support IPDE system and information security needs.
Evaluate and support transition of legacy submarine drawing based design and sustainment to technical data package (TDP) design and sustainment.
Facilitate timely decisions by cognizant team members in the review and adjudication of design products and written correspondence by the appropriate NAVSEA technical stakeholders such as Naval Reactors, Strategic Systems Programs (SSP), UK, and NAVY Field Activities in accordance with Ship Specifications to meet commitment completion dates.
Establish and manage IPDE/ICE commitments. Track and report status of IPDE/ICE commitments.
Attend weekly commitment meetings and other applicable meetings required to support IPDE Lead.
Other duties as assigned including but not limited to the development and oral delivery of briefings for senior NAVSEA and industry leadership.
Weekly and monthly reports as required.QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelors degree in computer science or related field and a minimum of 8 years experience. In some cases, educational requirements may be adjusted or waived based on applicable work experience.
Ability to understand and succinctly summarize, communicate, and document technical issues
Knowledge of the full software development life-cycle including deployment and training
Engineering or Computer Science degree or equivalent.
Knowledge of the NAVY correspondence manual, English grammar, spelling, and punctuation to correct errors in written material.
The ability to use a variety of software products (e.g. MS Office, MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Power Point) and information systems (e.g. CDMS, CITIS, SWSNET, TeamCenter).
Position requires a -SECRET- level Security Clearance.
Knowledge of Product Life-cycle management (PLM) software (Siemens Teamcenter / NX) preferred.
Knowledge of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure
Organizational skills, technical management skills, and ability to perform detail-oriented work is required. Self-motivated, possess analytical skills and customer-oriented is desired. Able to clearly communicate ideas to others verbally and in writing.
