Linux Administrator & AWS Administrator -- Full-Time-Employee

Our direct client, a major financial firm in NJ, is looking for Linux (Red Hat) Administrator & AWS Administrator with strong experience supporting Red Hat Linux and AWS infrastructure.

The client is a very well reputed financial firm and a leader in their segment of the business. They have competitive compensation, very good benefits and a friendly work-place environment.

The role involves providing operational support for the Production Linux (Red Hat) environments with Symantec Veritas Clustering Technology. and the AWS Cloud environments. Responsibilities include Linux backup/restores, daily checks, maintenance tasks and building new systems and applying service packs. Manage and escalate problems as appropriate. Responsibilities also include setting up AWS infrastructure and help migrate applications from on-premise to the AWS Cloud.

Experience Required:

  • Must have strong operational support experience of Linux Red Hat Server in a Production enterprise environment.
  • Experience of AWS deployment, cloud infrastructure and tools.
  • Must have ability to perform diagnostic and troubleshooting of AWS Product set such as; EC2, Lambda, EKS, ECR, WorkSpaces, EBS, EFS, S3, RDS MSSQL, Route 53, VPC, CloudFormation, AWS Connect Direct...
  • Experience of supporting AWS Backup & Restore Services, Rubrik and AWS native backup.
  • Experience of automation using Configuration Management tools like Ancible, Chef, Puppet, Salt Stack.
  • Experience of supporting production VMware environments.
  • Experience of Symantec Veritas Clustering Production Support.
  • Ability to collaborate highly effectively with Development and other operational support teams (DBA s, Infra Support, L3 etc), in order to support the end to end service.
  • Knowledge of ITIL framework (understanding of Incident, Problem, Change)
