The Mac Endpoint Support Engineer's role is to centrally manage a Mac population of over 2,000 endpoints. This includes supporting the JAMF/Casper infrastructure, policy and package creation, and overall health checking of the Mac endpoints.
The Mac Endpoint Support Engineer will provide excellent customer service by troubleshooting problems in a timely and accurate fashion,provide occasional enduser assistance where required. In addition, the Mac Endpoint Support Engineer will be asked to manage relevant projects.
Manage a multi-node JAMF instance, including routine maintenance, upgrades, and health checking
Build policies to install, upgrade, or remove software from Mac endpoints
Creation of configuration profiles to manage settings, and custom extension attributes to provide greater telemetry
Scripting/tool building to address problems or make changes on a large number of endpoints
MDM configuration and management for > 200 iOS devices
Work with the Corporate Security team to ensure best security practices are applied
Collaborate with server and network administrators to ensure efficient operation of the company's Mac endpoints.
If necessary, liaise with third party support and PC equipment vendors.
Ideally, help to maintain Windows endpoints via Workspace One
Manage endpoint-related projects.
4+ years of experience support large populations of Mac endpoints
4+ years of experience supporting Mac OSX
3+ years of experience working with JAMF (Casper) to configure Mac endpoints and automate Mac endpoint administration
DESIRED: 3+ years of experience support Windows endpoints
DESIRED: 3+ years of experience supporting iPhone devices
Experience with networking: IP, VPN, DNS, DHCP
Project management experience
