Job Description


Management Analysts help client leadership manage, plan and organize tasks and projects for the entire project management life-cycle. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Developing and reviewing acquisition and project management strategies, documentation, and business processes that support performance based acquisition contracts;

  • Providing acquisition and project management support for acquisition programs that provide services and supplies, including major system, and the full life-cycle program support to clients;
  • Tracking and monitoring acquisition status, funding, implementation, and closeout; and

  • Utilizing the Internet and various knowledge sources to stay current on all facets of acquisition.

  • The Management Analyst will provide support to two projects in the NGA Headquarters Office of Contract Services (OCS).
    • The Management Analyst will monitor, control and report on progress on reducing unliquidated obligations in support of an NGA enterprise-wide effort to pass a Congressionally mandated audit by 2022. The Management Analyst will support other audits as required.
    • The Management Analyst will also support the NGA enterprise Contracting Officer Representative (COR) program by initiating, monitoring, managing COR applications, and administrative issues.

  • The Management Analyst will work with a Federal Acquisition Strategies, LLC team of Six Senior Contacting Policy Subject Matter Experts (SME) on various projects as required.


  • Current/active Top Secret/SCI clearance required.
  • Bachelor degree, Masters degree strongly preferred, in a related field.
  • Retired military or DOD civilian strongly preferred.
  • DAWIA II in Acquisition or Program Management or Project Management Institute (PMI) PMP certification or equivalent
  • 10+ years of experience in an environment where acquisition strategies, concepts, and management techniques were utilized that provided expert knowledge and understanding of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and agency specific regulations, including the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR).

  • Experience in project planning, project reporting and control, program auditing and progress reporting, and related functional assignments in federal acquisition and program management. Some experience with regulatory, policy and acquisition regulations. Some experience with performance-based service contracting concepts, strategies, and governing rules and regulations.
  • Experience with program management disciplines, including program management plans, risk management plans, quality assurance plans, performance monitoring requirements and the automated tools, and program status tracking techniques required to support program operations.

  • Demonstrated ability and desire to maintain and expand client relationships through the delivery of high quality work. Demonstrated well-developed written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrated ability to multitask and work effectively, both independently and in teams, ensuring timely completion of assignments and meeting established quality standards.
