The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is seeking an energetic, values-oriented management professional to develop and lead our Systems and Operations team comprised of 10 IT professionals who are responsible for evaluating, designing, developing and implementing cloud, hybrid-cloud. Troubleshoot complex technology issues and recommend solutions or services that align with customer needs, Maintaining on premise datacenter technologies and solutions (e.g. Middleware, applications, hardware and networks) in order to improve operational costs and efficiency. Manage project deadlines and budgets. Develop roadmaps, define value propositions and solution positioning in market place.
Job Responsibilities:
Recruit, hire, and develop a team of highly professional System Administrators and System Engineers. Define roles and responsibilities; Ensure staff receive the training and support they need to be successful and foster a culture of exceptional customer service.
Coordinate day-to-day activities for the Systems and Operations team. Ensure incidents are escalated or addressed in a timely manner, and that established service levels are consistently achieved. Serve as the escalation point for server and storages service problems or complaints and ensure issues are resolved with an appropriate sense of urgency.
Coordinate resolution of complex issues that involve multiple technical resources. Facilitate customer communications during service interruptions or outages.
Apply industry standard metrics and best practices for IT Service Management; Identify and report on key performance indicators, implement standardized processes and procedures, and proactively adjust resources as needed to meet established service levels.
Initiate and lead small to medium service change or improvement projects. Coordinate resources, prioritize and plan work, and oversee the overall success of the project.
Ability to lead and facilitate cross-functional teams to develop, document, execute, and improve processes; Adept at resolving conflict and delivering expected outcomes.
