IT Development Manager - CRM/CPQ

SMCI is seeking a CRM/CPQ Manager for an amazing organization here in Tampa Bay. The IT Software Development Manager organizes and directs the activities of IT initiatives through all phases of the SDLC. The position will lead development for approved projects, run the business activities and support. Managing all the initiatives of the software development team and mentoring, coaching, and setting expectation to ensure quality and timeliness on deliverables.

  • Manage software development projects, run the business activities and support through all phases of the SDLC
  • Proactively manage and communicate health of initiatives, providing metrics including cost, schedule, and resources
  • Conduct and contribute to requirements elicitation and reviews
  • Facilitate project planning through analysis, estimation, and task scheduling
  • Manage customer expectations for functionality, quality, and delivery dates
  • Identify and present release options based on business drivers: Schedule, Quality, and Functionality
  • Facilitate and drive product technical architecture and design sessions
  • Deliver quality software development deliverables with the highest quality, on time and within budget
  • Oversee production support for mission critical software platforms
  • Foster a work culture and general attitude that is consistent with business objectives and core values
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to achieve software development goals and business objectives
  • Manage direct or contracted software development resources to meet agreed to delivery schedules
  • Drive problem resolution to facilitate improvements and improved working relationships
  • Assist in the development and improvement of existing SDLC process, policies, and procedures to maximize productivity and improve results
  • Manage vendor selection process, resources, and vendor performance to company contracted expectations
  • Provide leadership to associates through effective communications, coaching, training, and development
  • Foster an accountable and success-oriented software development environment

  • BSCS, BSMIS or related degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience

  • Required 10 years of Professional Information Technology experience
  • Required 3-5 years of IT management experience in a software development organization
  • Preferred 3-5 years of hands-on software development experience (SQL, Java, .Net technologies)
  • Hands on knowledge of Oracle CPQ highly preferred with a requirement for a Customer Content Systems knowledge a highly important aspect of experience to be successful in this role.
  • Experience working on projects that involve web-based order placement, order management, and fulfillment is a plus
  • Experience implementing and maintaining in multiple SDLC methodologies including: PMBOK (Waterfall), Agile (Scrum, Lean, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, both verbal and written
  • Strong leadership, project management, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to define problems, analyze data, establish facts, and quickly draw valid conclusions
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver products with defined and required content; on-time, on-quality, and on-cost
  • Ability to work with technical and non-technical business owners to accomplish business objectives
  • Ability to foster teamwork and resolve problems expeditiously and positively
