Production Engineering Team Leader will be responsible for the support of existing and new product lines for Universal Analyzers. Management, training, coaching of other production engineers onsite and remotely. Design/manufacturability engineering, cost out initiatives, part and supplier change management, new supplier development, validation testing and documentation control are the core directives for this position. Job Description

•       Understand Electrical, pneumatic and mechanical drawings
•       Familiarity with sample handling and conditioning methods and suppliers
•       Ability to layout, design, oversee and install sample handling/conditioning systems while maintaining a good working relationship with engineering product assemblers
•       Provides pre-order, build and post-build customer support, front facing customer skills
•       Ensure that the quoted material and the customers' requirements coincide
•       Ability to write effective business correspondence utilizing MS Word and E-Mail Software
•       Maintain a professional relationship with customers, suppliers and internal employees
•       Able to direct and/or produce CAD drawings 
•       Ability to Travel on Site to train customer and or make field repair and modifications
•       Organize time so that projects are completed on time with effective project management and communication skills
•       Develop Manuals for custom projects
•       Communicate test procedures and product requirements to test equipment
•       Need to be able to understand and write code for PLCs, Graphical Interfaces and Industrial Communication
•       Able to travel independently and work at customer locations in a variety of extreme weather conditions.  Effectively trouble shoot and fix customers' issues or conduct site surveys.
•       Able to work extended hours
•       Capable of understanding and applying UL, CE, CSA, NEC, IECEx, and ATEX codes especially in hazardous locations.
•       Familiarity ERP systems and able to produce Bill of Materials and Manufacturing methods, and queries
•       Develop ability to apply QC Tech skills to Technical Customer Service Support, Engineered Product Assembly and Engineering Tech functions as required.
•       Ability to maintain high quality standards, management skills and growth with limited supervision.
•       Must be able to manage a high volume of technical phone calls and emails
•       Must have excellent verbal and written skill along with the ability for resolving issues
•       Fluent in global design practices, 1st angle projection, 3rd angle projection, ISO, ANSI, and global standard units

Experience and Education:
•       Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related discipline.
•       5+ years of experience
•       Strong interpersonal skills.
•       Comfortable using Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point, Access and Outlook
•       Able to create and modify Adobe (.pdf) files.
•       Experience leading Engineers and/or Technical Resources
