Job Description


The Marketing & Communications Production Specialist II is responsible for the quality control and integrity of deliverable print and digital marketing assets. Furthermore, to maintain these assets for ease of usability across the entire Marketing & Communications team as well as delivery to 3rd party vendors. The Specialist II position is also responsible for supporting all corporate brand standards with the highest quality of production file to ensure and maintain a positive corporate brand identity.



  • Coordinate and publish monthly and recurring marketing collateral
  • Build print and digital publications production files that ensure high-quality deliverables are produced
  • Work with in-house marketing/design staff, photographers, freelance designers, advertising agencies, print houses, and pre-press bureaus to deliver production ready artwork
  • Research and make recommendations that support the department's high quality production work flow and file management initiatives to ensure business efficiency and streamlined production operations
  • Maintain Marketing Communication brand standards across all promotional collateral either print or digital plus all internal marketing efforts
  • Support GM Financial's asset management efforts by following best practice methods of file structure and searchable naming convention, while maintaining knowledge of server capacities and workspace limitations
  • Produce and support GM Financial's digital signage efforts across multiple business centers and business owners, which includes relations with center operation implementation and outside vendor/3rd party business relation support
  • Perform other duties as assigned
  • Conform with all company policies and procedures



  • Advanced experience of print and digital production principles
  • Experience in Digital Asset Management systems and production work flows
  • Experience in advertising, mass communication or related discipline
  • Working knowledge of corporate branding
  • Working knowledge of organizational communication theory and practice


  • Must have proven print and digital publishing skills
  • Must be proficient with relevant design related programs, including Adobe Creative Suite, Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of HTML, basic web development
  • Expert knowledge of file setup for producing all types of print and digital marketing deliverables
  • Strong knowledge of image retouching best practices
  • Strong knowledge of Digital Asset Management, production file organization and best practices for team's production work flow
  • Must be able to work seamlessly with customers, executives, vendors and employees
  • Ability to trouble-shoot computer issues and production file issues
  • Exposure to DAM system configuration and implementation project(s)
  • Experienced with the industry metadata standards and character validation
  • Interpersonal skills to relate with staff at all levels throughout the company
  • Ability to understand GM Financial's business, apply knowledge and critical thinking skills in day-to-day problems and solutions
  • Strong project management skills with an ability to support corporate goals and objectives
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and balance multiple initiatives using effective time management skills


  • Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent work experience; profession experience in print production, mass communications or related discipline required


  • 7-10 years of agency, print production, pre-press, marketing or corporate communications experience required

Working Conditions

  • Normal office environment subject to stressful situations
  • Flexible schedule with possibility of working long hours including weekends/holidays, occasional overtime or split shifts may be required
  • Limited travel may be required to support business needs
  • Strong focus on providing quality service to internal and external customers
