Job Title: Mechanical Service Technician
Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Duration: Contract-to-hire, long-term
Pay rate: $16.40/hr
Hours: Monday - Friday 7:30am 4:00pm
Repairs, calibrates, and maintains medical equipment and apparatus such as modular components, specialized power mobility devices and other regulated technical devices. Modifies or develops instruments. Performs component testing protocols for quality assurance.
Independently provide routine service to entire product family under general supervision within acceptable time limits - Interprets and correctly enters all product tracking / billing information associated with maintenance into SAP.
Assist internal and external customers with questions regarding estimates or verifying complaints
Can solve routine problems independently and complex problems with assistance
Assists with area training.
Participates in all company required safety activities.
Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors and understands work area metrics.
High School Diploma or Technical training
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
Ability to read equipment and component drawings and schematics
Solid computer knowledge and Troubleshooting abilities
Strive toward achieving incentive plan expectations
Understanding of lean principles for work area and participates in continuous improvements (5S, Lean, VSM).
Mechanical Ability 50% of role (cars, machinery, etc. someone who has ability to use tools) this skill can be taught if necessary but candidates need comfort level using tools because primary role is to repair medical device products.
Computer Experience/Understanding 50% of role must be comfortable using computers, candidates who are comfortable with using our software programs, SAP, etc.
