You are an experienced engineer that has deployed, maintained, and migrated messaging platforms. You have a passion for working with the latest technologies, loves to solve problems, focused on delivering solutions that solve customers' business challenges, and thrives in a team environment. 

Customers migrating to Microsoft 365 can range from on-premises Exchange Server, Google Mail, Microsoft 365, and more. Agile IT Messaging Engineers work together with other Agile IT delivery team members (project manager, architect, Senior Engineers, and more) to drive towards customer success. 

Communication is key to life and it certainly is at Agile IT. Documentation is also vital in planning and communicating with peers and customers.  This can include documentation within Word, PowerPoint, Visio or using Power BI and PowerShell to capture/document systems.  Agile IT invests heavily in using or building tools to accomplish greater results with less manual steps. All that said, it still always starts and end with great communication and documentation. 

If you learn by building out labs, trial and error, and love to pick the brains of smart people, then it sounds like you’d be a cool fit!

WHAT YOU DO:

  • Deliver solution that aligns with the customer’s business needs and requirements (discuss benefits and risks)
  • Audit and assess existing messaging infrastructure in preparation to migrate to Microsoft 365/Exchange Online
  • Perform mail migrations from source (Exchange, Google, Microsoft 365) to Microsoft 365/Exchange Online
  • Create and configure Office 365 as a target location based on patterns and practices defined by Agile IT
  • Deploy and configure AD Connect to connect local Active Directory with Azure Active Directory based on Agile IT processes and automation
  • Assist in the development of detailed project implementation plans per project along with other Agile IT team members
  • Provide configuration recommendation and assistance to other solution deployment team members

Your Technical Abilities:

  • Microsoft Exchange server administration and operations
  • Active Directory Domain Services (AD DS) administration (Forests/Domains/Group Policy)
  • Common Messaging Technologies and Standards: DNS, SMTP, SSL/TLS, SPF/DKIM/DMARC, and Mail flow
  • Microsoft Office client deployment/configuration, profiles, and troubleshooting
  • Microsoft Outlook core components: Auto discovery, PST, OST, GAL
  • Windows client deployment, operations, and troubleshooting
  • Experience with Google Mail and/or Hosted Exchange a plus

Nice to have skills (or what you'll learn):

  • Utilizing products from BitTitan (MigrationWiz, DeploymentPro) 
  • Well-versed with Azure AD and Azure Premium features and functionalities, including (but not limited to) AIP, IRM, App registrations, SCIM provisioning, MFA, etc.
  • Ability to execute PowerShell scripts with minor customizations.  Strong PowerShell scripting (From scratch, optimization, using GitHub clones) is highly desired 
  • SAML 2.0 and cloud SSO providers such as Azure AD Premium, Okta, or ADFS
