Job Description

An American chemical manufacturing company located in Philadelphia, PA is looking to add a UX/UI Designer Contractor to their Product Engineering team in Precision Agriculture. This organization leads in Agriculture Sciences and is the only company in American Agriculture that dedicates their work exclusively to crop protection chemistry and its delivery. They created a brand new product team who are working to navigate their products in 4 regions with hopes to expand to 21 countries. They are working on a mobile and web product that will examine, collect, and analyze the factors in crops using Machine Learning and predictive analytics. The companies mission is to better recommend farming activities for the future.

As the UX/UI Designer, you will be responsible for the mobile app experience, UI designs, and research with users and defining qualities. You will take on the development of brand guidelines and assist with adding new features. You will be working closely with the Product Lead, external customers, and the companies sales team to design user journeys, storyboards, user interfaces, and interactions to build the desired web and mobile products. The ideal candidate has the ability to create Mockups and Prototypes for the Development Team and Stakeholders and conduct and analyzes stakeholder interviews. This position will operate 2-3 days a week in their West Philly office and will require proof of vaccination. If you do not have a proof of vaccination, a religious or health reason must be provided and approved by HR.
Required Skills & Experience
  • Experience with designing for Mobile such as iOS and Android and Web
  • Familiar with Web technologies such as React, Angular, and REST APIs
  • Proficient in design tools like Sketch, Invision, Principle, and Illustrator
  • Ability to balance creativity and analytical design goals
Desired Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of product design experience
  • Degree or equivalent experience in Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Media Design, or Fine Arts
  • Familiar with UI/UX methodologies
  • Team Player
  • Ability to multitask, learn quickly, and take direction from Senior and Lead Designers
  • Knowledge in agriculture and framing practices
  • Communication and interpersonal skills

Tech Breakdown

The Offer
  • Competitive Pay: Up to $57/hour, DOE
  • Contract Duration: 6 Months
