Stefanini is looking for a Molecular biologist who will produce and screen new compounds in biochemical and cell-based assays.
Essential duties and responsibilities:
Candidate responsibilities will include the mutagenesis, amplification, and purification of plasmid DNA, the expression and purification of protein from cell lines, and the characterization of proteins in various in vitro assays.
The successful candidate must be well-organized and be able to work diligently with other team members to meet project goals on time.
BS or MA in cell biology, biochemistry, neuroscience, immunology or related field with 0-5 years of practical hands-on experience in an industry setting.
Proficiency in standard wet laboratory techniques in a BSL2 environment is required.
Experience with directed DNA mutagenesis, cloning, transfection, nucleic acid and protein purification, cell culture, high-performance liquid chromatography, surface plasmon resonance, immunocytochemistry, immunoblot, or immunosorbent assays is highly desirable.
Must be self-motivated and proactive, able to multi-task, organized, and detail oriented with good notebook practices
Must be able to work independently to meet tight timelines efficiently and productively
Must have strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as effective listening and interpersonal skills
