Our client, a leading financial company is hiring a Mortgage Post Closing Specialist on a contract basis.Work Location:
Depew, NY (ONSITE) Working remotely right now, with ability to be onsite as required.Summary:
**This person needs to have a dedicated work space with minimal distractions as using the camera on ZOOM is a requirement.
-For ensuring file was closed, reviewing documents from Loan Origination Group for accuracy and execution.
-Ensure conditions of the closing agents were met.
-Registering the loans on the Mortgage Electronic Registration System.
-Working with closing agents and borrowers for corrections.
-Make sure loans are good and perfecting lien on properties.
-Regulatory items for review.
-Ensuring salability to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac., meeting Investing Requirements.
-Complete collateral (note) review for salability. Provide support for loan delivery, MERS registration.
-Complete full post-closing check list review (disclosures, data etc.).
-Support closing disclosure reconciliation for fee tolerance violations. Execute amended CDs.
-Ensure trailing documents and co-issuer requirements are addressed timely.
-Review loan documents executed at closing.
-Export images to vendor.
-Follow up, contacting closing agents.
-Following up on outstanding documents to complete the package (collateral documents-recorded mortgages, title policies and any conditions that were not met or that the closing agent did not send back) would be notated and following up with the closing agent.
Deliver excellent customer service to a wide range of local and international customers (while ensuring the cost effectiveness of the operation).
Handle all functions and regulations related to post closing.
Deliver upon quantitative and qualitative key performance indicators, in line with our business strategies and regulatory requirements (scorecard).
Continually review and understand work practices and policies to ensure ongoing audit and risk standards are met.
Ensure fair outcomes for customers are delivered in all situations.Required Skills:
Proven communications, organizational, analytical, administrative, problem-solving, project management and interpersonal skills.
Proficiency with personal computers as well as pertinent client systems and software.
Ability to meet deadlines and objectives independently and within the team.
1. Post-Closing or Closing experience as well as knowledge of Mortgage systems (both MCP and Image).
2. Knowledge of final mortgage collateral documents.
3. Phone Customer Service Experience.
4. Ability to work independently, dependability.
5. MS Word & Excel proficiency - Intermediate level for Excel - filter, sort, navigate, & manage
Minimum of 2 years proven bank, mortgage business, mortgage systems related experience or equivalent. The best candidate would be someone who has worked within Customer Service on the phones and has a Mortgage background. **Having a second monitor is a huge plus.
Minimum of bachelors degree in business, accounting, related field or equivalent experience.
