Job Description

Job Description: The Integration Specialist is responsible for expert knowledge of their assigned IT solutions. The Specialist serves as a resource to their team, and the IT organization, on projects and technologies.

Planning and Decision Making

  • Assist Managers/Directors in managing the scope, cost, schedule, quality, and success of assigned applications and projects
  • Work with appropriate parties to identify change implications
  • Ensure functionality in new releases is properly analyzed to consider for implementation
  • Lead the development, review and delivery of project deliverables identified in the project plan.
  • Provide guidance to teams, users and leadership on technologies, configuration and workflows
  • Collaborate with other application leads and project managers to ensure processes and other technical solutions are effectively integrated.
  • Ensure the thorough review and testing of each new release and enhancement.
  • Serve as QA to team on build, testing, and project work plans
  • Partner with operational counterparts to identify enhancement requests.
  • Manage the identification, documentation, research, and resolution of project and related project issues.
  • Ensure collaboration with the training team, and coordination of team on training activities
  • Ensure that data interfacing into and out of applications meet business needs.
  • Participate in disaster recovery measures.
  • Provide oversight of on-site support activities during go-lives and system upgrades.
  • Participate in the change management process.
  • Identify project issues and proactively initiating action to resolve them.
  • Prepare budgets and cost estimates and monitor spending
  • Negotiate with vendors and conduct contracting

Technical skills

  • Designs, develops, and maintains complex applications
  • Develops unit tests and provides code coverage to accurately test business logic and functionality
  • Participates in developing specifications such as user stories and designs
  • Solves or recommends solutions for complex issues and problems
  • Assist in the development of logical and physical specifications
  • Documents designs, issues, solutions, tips & tricks as needed
  • Fosters a team approach to software development and delivery
  • Stays current in new IT technologies to maintain a high level of subject matter expertise.
  • Implement and Deploy MuleSoft ESB Solutions
  • Expertise in a number of areas including cloud computing, API integration, cloud messaging, ground-tocloud connectivity, highly scalable distributed systems
  • Experience in at least one programming language and excited to learn others.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills and experience implementing applications
  • Strong interpersonal relationship skills
  • Significant process design experience
  • Demonstrated ability in adherence to process standards around documentation and workflow design
  • Excellent project management skills (ability to lead meetings, prioritize, resolve conflicts, maintain issues list, manage project plan)
  • Strong skills in research and analysis
  • Bachelor degree in business or IT, and 3-5 years of related work experience are required
  • 3+ years of experience in Java development and concepts, including debugging against Java APIs.
  • 3+ years of experience with JEE Application Servers and Containers (administration, deployment, and/or development in Tomcat, JBoss, WebSphere, Spring, etc.)
  • Experience with SOAP and/or Web Services
  • 3+ years of experience providing technical solutions development for enterprise software or hosted hightech services using JEE and/or JSE framework
  • Certification in lead application required. Additional workflow certifications preferred
  • Significant IT implementation and/or support experience
  • Participation in at least one full implementation lifecycle
  • Significant healthcare experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • Project Management Professional, or like experience
  • Advanced degree or clinical certification preferred
  • MuleSoft architect experience
  • Solid understanding of the design patterns
  • Experience with Tomcat, XML, JMS, WS and SOA/Integration technologies
  • Experience using the JAVA IDE (Eclipse, IntelliJ, Netbeans)
  • Experience profiling Java applications including threading issues and examining thread dumps
  • Integration product support from integration vendors like IBM, BEA, Oracle, Tibco, etc.
  • Experience with HL7 integrations using Infor Cloverleaf interface engine
