Job Description




JOB SUMMARY:


Requires experience in developing requirements and coordinating projects; excellent communication skills, and some design knowledge. Requires 3 to 5 years of LAN/WAN and Voice Experience . The job requires problem diagnosis and resolution in a call center and infrastructure environment. The job requires the ability to clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user training as needed; assist System team members on Network and voice related issues; troubleshoot network printer problems; pass more complex end-user problems on to Vendor maintenance support; conduct hardware and software inventory database maintenance and reporting; and perform related work as required.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned as necessary):
  • Ability to deliver technical phone and voice customer support for a call center environment
  • Identifies, diagnoses, and resolves problems involving VoIP, Network, internet, Firewalls, server and computer technology in an infrastructure and call center environment; must be able to communicates solutions to end-users.
  • Make the distinction between Level One and Level Two end-user problems
  • Coordinates timely repair of network and voice computer equipment covered by third-party maintenance agreements.
  • Diagnoses and resolves end-user network or local printer problems; assist in resolving PC hardware problems relating to e-mail, internet, dial-in, fax and local-area network access problems.
  • Helps install local area network cabling systems and equipment such as network interface cards, hubs and switches where needed.
  • Assists Network in creating materials for end-user frequently asked questions (FAQs).
  • Install new hardware, systems, and software for networks.
  • Install, configure, and maintain network services, equipment and devices.
  • Supports administration of servers and server clusters.
  • Manages all system back-up and restore protocol.
  • Support and train end-users in a wide range of software and network applications, as needed
  • Plans and supports network and computing infrastructure.
  • Perform troubleshooting analysis of servers, workstations and associated systems.
  • Documents network problems and resolution for future reference.
  • Monitors system performance and implements performance tuning.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, email, anti-virus, anti-spam.
  • Oversee software and network security.
  • Strong analytical abilities and professional office experience needed.
  • Install all new hardware, systems, and software for networks.

  • UCCX scripting (Contact center scripting), develop and modify
  • RTMT (Cisco Real Time Monitoring Tool) Troubleshooting CUCM
  • Cisco historical reporting
  • Knowledge of Calabrio recording software



QUALIFICATIONS: Thorough knowledge of Call Center, VoIP and networking essentials. Master new computer, voice and network technology. Read, understand and apply complex technical information. Maintain cooperative working relationships and demonstrate sensitivity to and respect for a diverse population.


EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

Technical Skills and Education Requirements for Network Engineer - Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities are qualifying.


Certifications: CCNA required. MCSE, CCNA, CCNP, CCIE, CNE are desired;
  • Education : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent experience.
  • Systems : Windows, Cisco Systems, UNIX, Linux, Novell
  • Networking : Switches, Routers, Hubs, Servers, Cables, Racks, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, UDP, Latency, VoIP, QoS, EIGRP, BGP, OSPF, NHRP, ATM, PPP, MPLS



Experience: 3-5 years of maintaining local and wide area Cisco networks, to include switches, routers, firewalls and monitoring systems and software. 3 5 years of maintaining Cisco UCCX systems. Knowledge of Internet, SFTP, Fax, and phone recording systems desired.

Knowledge of: Cisco network Routers and Switches; principles and theories of network systems and management; internet technologies and products; basic understanding of electrical and safety procedures, VOIP, and Calabrio recording software a plus.
