Our R&D Client is to add a Windows System Engineer to their team. Experience should include at least 3 years designing, implementing and supporting the following core Microsoft technologies: Windows Server, Active Directory, PowerShell, Exchange, MS SQL, WSUS, DNS, DHCP, and SharePoint. Experience with NetApp, VMware, and Linux operating systems is desired. Experience in customer facing roles is required. Position will report to a Director.
EDUCATION DESIRED: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience. Industry technical certifications are desirable but not required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: The Windows System Engineers role is to design, install, administer, and optimize Microsoft Windows servers and related components to achieve and maintain high performance of business applications. This includes ensuring the availability of client/server applications, configuring new implementations, and developing processes and procedures for ongoing management of the server environment. Scope of responsibilities include server hardware, Windows Server operating systems, core Microsoft back office technologies, and 3rd party infrastructure software and applications. This role will provide tier 3 customer support for enterprise applications and systems and will provide mentoring and guidance to the helpdesk support team.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS (e.g. drivers license, special tools or restrictions): Responsibilities sometimes require working evenings and weekends, sometimes with little advanced notice. This position requires that applicant selected be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government clearance. This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "U.S. Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. * 120.15 is required. "U.S. Person" includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
