The Enterprise Server Storage and Networksteam is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to lead network configuration and management efforts, integrating a new Business sector within the current established enterprise networks. These efforts constitute significant impact to the business on key programs. The successful candidate will bring multiple years of in depth technical knowledge with enterprise experience with managed network equipment.

The incumbent willbe expected to manage multiple efforts of short and long-term duration that are of significant influence to the network, storage and server infrastructure at an Enterprise level.

This position will primarily located at our sites in Promontory, UT and/or Clearfield, UT. There will be approximately 25% travel to various NG Innovations Systems Sector locations.

Responsibilities include:

Planning, design and implementation of network installations in accordance with standard policies and procedures for design review, installation, maintenance, and documentation.
Work with the new (NGIS) Sector customer and provide support of technical analysis of project requirements, prepare design review package and execution of approved design.
Execution of corrective action to support problem resolution of infrastructure hardware and software elements to ensure availability of firewall infrastructure and components.
Interface directly with vendors at a high technical level on existing enterprise solutions and new services technical requirements/deliverables and develop technical solutions to complex problems, requiring the regular use of their ingenuity and creativity.
Represent the organization as a prime technical contact on multiple projects. Interacts with senior external personnel on various technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations.

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from an accredited university/college and 5 years of relevant professional experience; or Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of managed network solutions, and large-scale technical network engineering project experience.
Proven experience with Cisco Router and Switch equipment, Checkpoint Firewall/1 CCSA, PIX Firewall Cisco Network Equipment (router, switch), and Nokia platforms

Referenced experience with TCP/IP protocol, Cisco Router and Switch products are required. Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls a plus.
Knowledge and experience with LAN/WAN protocols and technologies such as multicast, QoS, CoS
Travel 25% as appropriate

Preferred Qualifications:

Preferred candidates will have strong verbal and written communication skills and have the ability to define large-scale project scope, required tasks to achieve stated goal, project deliverable and artifacts definition, project timeline development, scheduling, budget creation and resource management.
Experience leading enterprise projects for networks and storage
Experience designing network solutions
Experience leading network implementation projects
Project management certification a plus
Experience using test equipment such as the Network Associates Sniffer, cable and fiber optics test sets, and other protocol analyzers is highly desirable.
Cisco and Palo Alto Firewalls a plus.
Cisco Wireless networking and management
WAN Optimization a plus (Riverbed technology)
