Summary: The Network Engineer Senior will design, engineer, and support data center and private cloud networking that will scale to global locations. Includes networking components to support data, video, voice, and unified communications traffic.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)


  • Provides technical leadership.

  • Identifies both short and long term solutions

  • Document, test, and implement networking components and VLANs to support: data, voice, video and unified communications that will scale to several sites worldwide.

  • Configure and support voice gateways and session border controllers.

    Integrate multiple voice and video technologies and troubleshoot and isolate issues.

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)

  • Bachelor’s Degree, additional work experience can be used in lieu of degree.
  • 5+ years of experience to include interaction with the government as a client.
  • Experience with the following:
    • Cisco routers and switches
    • Network services and architecture; BGP, OSPF, DHCP, DNS, TCP/IP, LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, VLAN, and VRF
    • Skype for Business/Cisco Call Manager
    • Virtualization technologies; Hyper-V., Vmware ESXi, KVM
    • WAN optimization devices
  • TS/SCI with CI Poly

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to troubleshoot L2/L3 issues

  • Ability to design, implement, and manage VoIP solutions.

  • Knowledge of MPLS, Frame Relay, OC-192 and above, and SONET.

  • Solid understanding of EIGRP OSPF, and BGP.

  • Extensive knowledge of: Spanning Tree, VLAN’s, VTP, and Trunking protocols.

  • Strong knowledge of: Windows Server 2012R2 , Linux (Redhat, CentOS ), Wireless systems, Voice gateways, and Session border controllers
  • Preferred but not required:
    • Related Microsoft certifications
    • CCNA or any fundamental network equivalent
    • ITIL Foundations
