Job Description

Solidus is looking for a Network Engineer to join a team that supports the production network. The successful candidate will contribute to the engineering team supporting the production network environment.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Provide third level support to operations resolving help desk tickets assigned to the network team
- Manages lifecycle of various network hardware
- Assist in the troubleshooting and diagnosis of network related issues
- Mentor the network operations team with new network deployments

Required Skills:
- U.S. Citizenship and able to obtain DoD Security Clearance; active Secret preferred
- Bachelor's degree
- At least 8 to 10 years of experience in implementing network solutions
- Configuration and Management of CISCO, Juniper and Extreme Hardware
- Design and Architecture Complex Networks
- F5 application delivery controllers
- Juniper and Palo Alto firewalls
- Juniper routing and switching
- Networking Applications and Protocols: TCP/IP, DNS, NTP, DHCP, SSH, FTP and HTTP/S
- Networking experience (routers/switches/firewalls/servers)
- Troubleshoot and Resolve Complex Networking Issues
- WiFi technology

Preferred Skills:
- Basic scripting skills and familiarity with monitoring tools (Ansible, Python)
- Ability to work analytically in a problem solving environment
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly
- Juniper or Palo Alto certifications
