Job Description

Link Technologies is currently seeking a Network Engineering Manager for a client in Las Vegas, NV. This is a full-time position, responsible for the oversight of network operations and team members. As the Network Engineering Manager, you will be managing network infrastructure, department processes, escalations, and team success.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 3+ years of network management experience
  • Hands-on experience deploying, configuring, and managing Cisco routers, switches, and security tools
  • Strong Layer 2/3 routing and switching experience
  • Network architecture experience to include design and documentation of layered networks
  • Must have advanced network troubleshooting skills
  • Active CCIE certification, or in process of obtaining CCIE
  • Current CCNA certification
  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related field preferred
  • Security+ or CISSP certification preferred
  • Experience with Palo Alto, wireless, and F5 technologies preferred
  • Experience working in a gaming or hospitality environment preferred

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the network engineering team, daily activities, and operations
  • Manage the security and support of network infrastructure
  • Configure, maintain, and secure the enterprise network to include wireless, LAN, and WAN
  • Manage network staff to include hiring, training, scheduling, mentoring, and disciplinary actions
  • Support and respond to network escalations and outages
  • Continuously review existing network performance and equipment and recommend upgrades and changes as needed
  • Remain up to date with the latest network technologies and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Manage department assets and expenditures
  • Establish department processes, standards, and service level agreements
  • Lead networking projects and initiatives
  • Coordinate with vendors and third parties for the procurement, implementation, and support of network technologies
  • Work hands-on as needed to install, configure, and troubleshoot network equipment
  • Monitor problem resolution and perform tests to ensure issues have been adequately resolved
