  • Periodic evening and weekend work with the ability to travel to our other data center locations as needed; Baltimore, Boston, Cleveland, Columbus, Indianapolis, Phoenix, and Memphis
  • Create and maintain network standards documentation for the Support and Service Delivery teams.
  • Utilize technical knowledge and professional discretion to make sound judgement calls when needed.

Skills:

  • Ability to prioritize and be productive in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to learn things quickly and run with them requiring minimal direction
  • Ability to think on your feet and overcome unexpected setbacks or issues
  • Strong attention to detail with good organizational capabilities
  • Comprehensive understanding of the principles of networking (Layers 2 and 3)
  • Experience with routing protocols including BGP, EIGRP, and OSPF
  • Familiarity with carrier level network protocols such MPLS, MPLS VPNs, VPLS, VXLAN, MC-LAG/MLAG, and EVPN
  • Experience with Layer 2 protocols including QinQ, STP/RSTP, and LACP
  • Experience with enterprise/carrier-class routers and switches (Cisco, Juniper)
  • Experience working with firewalls (Cisco, Juniper, Palo Alto)
  • CCNA or JNCIA or equivalent knowledge
  • Experience with VMWare and VMWare NSX is a plus
  • Experience with Linux/Unix operating systems is a plus
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Python, or SLAX is a plus
  • Experience with automation such as Ansible, Salt, Chef or Puppet is a plus

Experience:

  • 3-5 years as a Network Administrator or Engineer operating in either a Cisco, Juniper, or Arista environment.
