Team Transport has an exciting andchallenging opportunity available for a Network Security Engineer supporting anIntelligence Community customer's wide-area (WAN), local-area (LAN) andcampus-area (CAN) networks across multiple security domains.
 


Ensure the overall health and strongsecurity posture of complex network architectures. The Network SecurityEngineer will be actively involved with all phases of security design,implementation, proactive monitoring, troubleshooting and analysis offirewalls, IDSs, VPNs, security controls and policies. Develops systemspecifications, architecture designs, integration and test plans, and allrelevant documentation. Develops security assessment and mitigation strategies.Maintain compliance with DOD Information Assurance requirements as well asensuring service performance indicators are met or exceeded.
 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Work with both corporate andcustomer leadership to research, analyze, and implement enterprise-wide networksecurity solutions/capabilities/enhancements to support customer business/missiongoals and objectives.
  • Assists with designs, analyses,tests and implementtion of state-of-the-art secure network architectures.
  • Conducts risk assessment andprovides recommendations for design.
  • Conducts encryption technology, penetrationand vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and informationtechnology security research
  • Manage WAN, LAN, CAN, and remotenetwork security as well as incident and problem management.
  • Oversee security infrastructuresustainment, maintenance, and advanced configuration. (firewalls, web gateways,mail gateways, IDS, intrusion detection systems, and management tools.
  • Oversee the reporting, documentationand investigation of all security related incidents; lead the development andimplementation of corrective measures.
  • Responsible for development andexecution of standard operating procedures for security tools.
  • Create and maintain System Security Authorization Agreement(SSAA) documentation, creates and maintains Plan of Action and Milestones foreach system.
  • Evaluate and report on new networkSecurity technologies to enhance capabilities of the network.
  • Act as liaison to the contract andcustomer management, and government Designated Approving Authority (DAA) withregard to all network security status, policies, and procedures.

 

Education/Training:

  • Bachelor's degree in ComputerScience or related field

 

Required Certifications:

  • DOD 8570 IAT Level II certification.

 

Required Skills:

  • Security Clearance: active TS/SCI with ability to obtain CIpolygraph
  • Ability to work independently withlittle direction and guidance
  • Ability to work weekends and eveninghours as needed
  • Excellent writing and communicationskills, including the ability to develop analytical documents and present oralpresentations to senior/executive management
  • Proficient is MS Office suite --Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project

 

Travel:

  • Travel up to 15% of the time.

 

Experience:

  • 8+ years related technical experience in Network Security
  • 4+ years experience with large-scaleenterprise/global networks in a high paced diverse environment
  • Understanding and experience withthe DoD Architecture Framework and other key DoD network architecture andstrategic planning instructions.
  • Proven experience with IntelligenceCommunity Directive (ICD) 503 instructions; system accreditation and security systemdocumentation.
  • Proven application of ISO 27000information security management principles.
  • Expert knowledge of CISCOfirewall/VPN equipment (Adaptive Security Appliance, etc)
  • Expert knowledge of IP services(IPv4, VPN, IPv6, Multicast, QOS, SNMP, VOIP, VTC, etc)
  • Experience in providing statusreports and products to senior management and customers
  • Experience with managing andtracking ATCs and closures of liens to obtain an ATO.
  • Experience with Netscreen Firewall,Sidewinder Firewall, McAfee Web/Email Gateway, Netscout, Blue Coat or CiscoASA, IPS/IDS.
  • Experience with plans, designs, andevaluations of security systems and architectures.
  • Experience with Unix, RHELS OS,Windows  Enterprise AD architecture andVMWare virtualization experience

 

Desired:

  • Master's degree in Computer Scienceor related field
  • DOD 8570 IAT Level IIIcertification.
  • JUNOS JNCIA, JNCIS-SEC, JNCIP-SEC,JNCIE-SEC or JNCIS-FWV
  • CISCO CCNP Security or CCNA Securitycertification
  • AWS Certified SysOps Administratoror Advanced Networking
  • ITIL certification
