Job Description

Our Critical Infrastructure Protection group is a growing practice within Data Systems Analysts (DSA). We have had a breakthrough year and have forecasted more significant growth in 2021. We are seeking a results-oriented Engineer who demonstrates excellent problem solving and communication skills to work on our team. As an OSIsoft PI Engineer at Data Systems Analysts, you will be part of a growing business offering that is at the nexus of energy management, advanced analytics, and cyber security. As part of your work, you will play an active role translating customer requirements into functional and technical designs. You will take part in the design and implementation of projects that provide situational awareness and operational intelligence based on the OSIsoft PI System. DSA s CIP team delivers value by integrating various systems onto a common operating platform and deploying advanced analytics to uncover opportunities to improve efficiency and/or resilience in support of a customer mission.
Within the CIP team, you will regularly interface with building automation systems (BAS), Industrial Control Systems (ICS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, and other 3rd party systems. Our group supports various industries including universities, government agencies, utilities, pharmaceuticals, and manufacturing facilities. As a system integration team, we are tasked with delivering value to the overall mission of our customer s organization. The majority of your time will be customer facing and project focused.

Job Profile
We are looking for a motivated U.S. citizen who is versatile and employable on both a functional and a technical level. Previous experience with the PI System is a requirement for this position. Comprehensive PI System training will be provided to the selected candidate and the most important qualification is a mechanical (or electrical) engineering bachelor s degree. The individual will support the development and implementation of new integration projects as well as supporting our systems. It is important that the candidate has great interest in systems integration, be customer-orientated, have a hands-on mentality, and is eager to learn.

Minimum Qualifications
  • US citizenship and residency
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or similar
  • 3 years PI experience
  • Self-starter with an ability to multi-task and effectively work on a large number of projects simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written proficiency in the English language
  • Strong communication and analytical skills
  • Ability to pass background checks and work within a secure environment
  • Customer address is Norfolk Naval Station. 1530 Gilbert St # 2000, Norfolk, VA 23511 and must live within a commutable distance.

Salary and Benefits include but not limited to:

  • The hours for this role are Full-time, Regular - Start and End times are dependent on customer requirements
