Job Title: OpenText xECM Consultant

Experience Level: 5 8 years
Employment Type: Contract / Full-time

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled OpenText xECM Consultant to design, implement, and support Extended ECM (xECM) solutions integrated with enterprise systems such as SAP, Salesforce, or Microsoft 365. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in OpenText Content Suite, xECM architecture, and business process integration, ensuring scalable and compliant content management solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure, customize, and implement OpenText xECM for SAP / Salesforce / Microsoft 365.

  • Design and develop content management workflows, metadata models, and document lifecycles.

  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into functional and technical specifications.

  • Integrate xECM solutions with ERP and CRM systems using Web Services, REST APIs, and OT Connectors.

  • Perform system upgrades, patches, and performance optimization.

  • Implement and support permissions, access control, and compliance policies within OpenText Content Server.

  • Troubleshoot xECM and integration issues, ensuring business continuity.

  • Prepare technical documentation, deployment guides, and user training materials.

  • Support UAT, go-live, and post-deployment activities.

Required Skills & Experience:

  • 5 8 years of experience in OpenText Content Suite / xECM implementation and administration.

  • Strong understanding of xECM for SAP, Salesforce, or Microsoft 365 integrations.

  • Experience in OTCS (Content Server) configuration, workflows, and web reports.

  • Proficiency in Java, OScript, and REST/SOAP Web Services for customization and integration.

  • Good knowledge of Document Management, Records Management, and Archiving principles.

  • Familiarity with OTDS (OpenText Directory Services) and Brava / InfoArchive preferred.

  • Hands-on experience with SQL Server / Oracle databases and basic Linux/Windows server administration.

  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Good to Have:

  • OpenText certifications (xECM, Content Server, or Archive Center).

  • Experience with SAP DMS, VIM, or Extended ECM Smart View.

  • Exposure to cloud deployments (OpenText Cloud / Azure).

Education:

  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
