Position: Operations Applications Lead/Manager

Location: Torrance, CA 90501 (on-site only)

Rate: Open, depends on exp level (W2 Only)

Operations Applications Manager will be supporting mobile and web services for various technologies (Java) platforms and applications. This resource must understand the core applications with a some infrastructure. They need to understand cloud migrations and on premise infrastructure. Able to isolate business KPI's, end customer updates, issues and recommend/resolve issues. They will analyze/identify end-customer issues and create a road map to solve them. They will work with the operations partners services and the various business teams to provide end to end operations services. This is role is working with the Connected Product Solutions Division.


Planning:


-Define project plan, objective and milestone
-Gain agreement from the customer
-Oversee development of a plan to meet the objective
-Assess risks and develop contingency plans


Daily Tasks:


- Work closely with the comparable areas within the Global organization: R&D in Japan and North America, and Canadian business units
- Managing vendor suppliers.
- Supporting the direction and vision of IS for Telematics and Connected products
- Managing/setting the vision for the Production Support, Operations and Infrastructure teams
- Governance of these teams and driving delivery management of QA/Prod Support/Infrastructure/Ops services
- Facilitate intra- and inter-team collaboration, including managed services, 3rd party suppliers, to ensure resolution of customer issues and system incidents
- Identify opportunities and set direction for continuous service improvement
- Maintain and drive Ops team focus on 'Customer' vs. 'system'
- Lead and manage Sustain projects such as Disaster Recovery
- Develop roadmap and execute plans for improved monitoring, automation etc.

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE: (Resume must reflect this experience)
Must have experience with either Telematics and/or Connected Vehicle Products
5+ years of Project Management (including Operations Management ) experience, solving consumer applications, IoT (Internet of Things), mobile and web (web services) applications for end-users.
Understand cloud migrations and on premise infrastructure
Experience analyzing/solving end-customer/consumer issues shared through mobile applications
Experience working with the connected car to understand issues to provide a solution/recommendation
Experience Project Managing end to end projects for consumer applications
Experience analyzing/identifying end-customer issues and create a road map
Understands cloud migrations and on premise infrastructure
10+ years of IT Operations and/or Product development and maintenance experience
3+ years Supervisory experience, managing professionals, leading teams, groups and vendors
2+ years of managing outsourced/offsite vendors
Must have a stable work history, working in a similar role
Must have EXCELLENT oral communication skills

Education: Bachelors Degree

Desired Skills (not required):
Experience working with a Business and business-supporting teams such as Procurement and Legal
Experience working with Solution Architecture, Enterprise Architecture, and Infrastructure teams
Technical understanding of mobile, web, Java and services-based solutions
Managing the support and projects through a partner and an in house team
Planning and managing Operations and enhancements post deployment
Manage ecosystem partners
Experience defining and managing E2E Service Levels for consumer facing applications
