Job Description

Our company is an IT Consulting, Web/E-commerce Development, and Custom Software Development firm based in Mclean, VA. Our commercial domestic and international clients are looking for candidates with the following skill sets:

Candidates with Consumer Packaged Goods or Telecom industry experience a plus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Identify processes, document gaps, and provide solutions to bridge gaps and enhance processes for customer migration to R12 standard model
- Develop process designs and adds new system configurations to enable designs
- Develop test plans, provide testing documentation, and perform testing activities
- Assist with training sessions and documentation
- Plan, coordinate, and provide cut-over activities for adding new customers into the production environment and post-production support
- Provide input to planning and scheduling direction for project and release management
- Maintain the General Ledger
- Create and Post Journal Entries
- Prior Period Adjustments
- Reporting
- Month and Year End Closing
- Document all recommendations, requirements, design, configurations, meeting notes, test scripts and results, and project issues as needed
- Provide requirement analysis, process review, configuration and development, documentation, and implementation services for production sustainment and system enhancements
- Identify and document requirements working with users

- Preferred module tracks: GL, AP, PO, AR, FA, SLA, Projects, Procure-to-Pay
- (Preferred) Develop Application Accounting Definitions (AAD), Journal Line Types (JLT), and Journal Line Definitions (JLD) to build proper accounting rules across all sub-ledgers
- (Preferred) Provide expertise to review existing account generators and rules and recommend improvements based upon "best practices" and R12 functionality for the Sub-Ledger Accounting (SLA) rules
- Provide expertise to review and recommend customer fit and improvements based upon "best practices" and R12 functionality for at least one of the following business process flow areas and tasks:
- Budget to Report
- Procure to Pay
- Financial Reporting
- Month and Year End Closing

In addition, you will be responsible for the following:

- Assist with troubleshooting activities in the record to report business process
- GL reconciliation activities for complex conversions
- Create training documentation and perform training
- Work will be performed on EBS implementations, upgrade and expand the footprint projects

POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

- Minimum of 2 years of functional experience in implementing Oracle R11i/R12 Financial application functionality with emphasis on analysis, implementation and problem resolution
- Prior experience developing functional designs including interface and extension designs
- Prior experience designing and executing end-to-end integration testing
- Prior experience with data conversion requirements and mapping
- Prior experience designing and implementing Federal Reports
- Hands on experience configuring Oracle R11i/R12 modules to enable processes and all associated setup, activities and reports for various business process areas
- Demonstrated strong analytical skills and problem solving ability with prior experience working to analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within the Oracle E-Business Suite

QUALIFICATIONS:

- Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience
- Strong communication, presentation, analytical, and technical skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Power Point, and Excel
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have minimum 2 years of Oracle experience on R11i/R12 implementations or upgrades experience
- Excellent written and oral communication
- Understanding of formal implementation or upgrade project methodology
- Served as an influential training or testing project team member
- Driven individual who works well in a team environment
