Due to increased business, our Technology Solutions Group is seeking interest or Preferrals for an Oracle Engineer. This role will participate in computer programming following current Oracle standards for new projects and maintenance efforts for existing client applications.

Responsibilities of this position will include:

  • Personally accountable for accuracy and on-time delivery of tasks.
  • Perform advanced level of back-end application tuning.
  • Responsible for completing and updating the Entity Relationship Diagram and physical database design.
  • Expert knowledge and experience with Oracle Objects and Ignite or equivalent monitoring/tuning tools.
  • Accountable for production database security.
  • Excellent communication, listening, analytical and problem-solving skills.

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following experience & education:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science or other related field, preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-4 years of programming experience with Oracle.
  • Experience in a similar industry will be preferred.
  • Must be able to demonstrate strong understanding of Relational Database Management Systems including design, normalization, indexing, tuning, etc. in a web development environment.
  • Ability to develop, unit test, document and migrate complex PL/SQL program units such as functions, procedures, triggers and packages following development standards and when to use each.
  • Ability to provide accurate estimates of work effort, from both the programming and integration perspectives.
  • Resourceful at problem solving and debugging while working with the users to resolve production issues in a timely fashion.
  • Is a 'team player' demonstrating organizational commitment and supporting the division's technical direction
  • Identify and conduct code and programming specification review where applicable.
