Position Summary The Organizational Development (OD) Consultant helps define, coordinate, and execute on the implementation of major organization development initiatives that include performance consulting, on-boarding, succession planning, performance management, and other leadership development initiatives. The position works closely with internal customer groups to identify needs, create solutions, and evaluate effectiveness. This role encompasses a variety of job activities including defining, developing, implementing, planning, administering, analyzing and managing the successful implementation of projects.
General Duties and Responsibilities (This is a representative list of the general duties the position may be asked to perform, and is not intended to be all-inclusive)
• Participate in succession planning activities, including work with business partners to set objectives, coordinate succession planning activities, synthesize succession planning information, facilitate talent review discussions and provide recommendations
• Consult with internal business partners to diagnose and understand their needs in order to develop recommendations for improvement
• Provide subject matter expertise for implementation of FedEx Office climate survey; lead survey implementation
• Participate on cross operating company teams to support cross operating company initiatives, such as executive development and succession activities
• Synthesize data from various sources in order to recommend development solutions for the organization and teams
• Provide feedback and coaching to leaders on assessment or development tools (i.e., 360 feedback, potential assessments)
• Provide change management support on organization-wide initiatives
• External benchmarking & research on organizational development
• Vendor management and vendor selection
• Define scope of projects including timelines, resources, goals & constraints
• Assist in creating, revising, implementing and supporting programs in the area of on-boarding, performance management, leadership development, climate survey, 360 feedback, etc.
• Create communications and communication plan for projects/initiatives to a variety of audience in a professional manner
• Manage a minimum of two or three key projects simultaneously
• Oversee projects to ensure deliverables are met and keep stakeholders/supervisor informed of key deliverables
• All other duties as needed or required

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements • Bachelor's Degree in Organization Development, Industrial Organizational Psychology, related field or equivalent experience
• Master's Degree preferred
• 3+ years' work experience in the area of organization development
• Prior experience managing projects
• Prior experience working with highly confidential information
• Prior experience with Microsoft Applications (Excel, PowerPoint, and Word)
• Prior experience in leadership development, change management, performance measurement, and coaching preferred
• Prior experience with vendor selection, job analysis, competency modeling, and/or Climate/Employee Opinion Surveys preferred
• Prior experience consulting with clients and business owners
• Knowledge of legal issues associated with selection and performance management
• For new hires, must meet all FedEx Office employment qualifications in force at time of hiring
