Job Description

 

TEG Client is a fast-growing technology services company based in the Denver Tech Center.  TEG Client is seeking an experienced senior level IT Project Manager to join our growing team. 

 

This is a hands-on, technical position. Qualified candidates will have broad-based business and technical experience along with a track record of effectively managing project work in a consulting environment. 

 

You can collaborate with development resources to estimate the work effort, develop detailed project and staffing plans, monitor progress against plan, adjust resources and deliver a quality product on-time and on-budget.  

 

You will balance client expectations against contractual delivery obligations and manage resulting scope issues.  

 

You are responsible for planning tasks, assigning resources, and monitoring and tracking progress against your plan.  

 

You will be responsible for managing multiple project teams - typically 3-8 resources each, generally from our delivery center in the Denver Technology Center.  

 

This person will be part of our core Delivery Team and will interface with clients to transform customer requirements into fully functional solutions.

 

Minimum Education and Experience:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology

  • 5+ years of IT project management experience

  • 5+ years of experience working with Enterprise Software companies and/or Consulting companies

  • Experience with Cherwell, BMC Remedy, Salesforce, ServiceNow, HP ServiceManager, CA Service Desk Manager, FrontRange Heat, LANDesk Service Desk, or Microsoft Service Manger is a definite plus
  • PMP/PMI Certification is a plus

Responsibilities:

 

  • BUSINESS:
    • Understand the vision and critical success factors from both clients and TEG Client Partners point of view
    • Participate in gathering business requirements (workshops, work sessions, client interviews)
    • Assist the client with the design, documentation and execution of user acceptance test plans
    • Prepare business requirements and generate documentation for RFI, RFS and RFP documents
    • Manage project scope and track estimates to complete
    • Serve as Point of Contact for account/client relationship
    • Actively contribute to developing statements of Work and Change Orders
    • Obtain client signoff on deliverables

 

  • MANAGEMENT:
    • Work closely with client management to drive the project toward achieving intended goals
    • Deliver the project according to plan and within contracted time-frame, budget and profit margin targets
    • Plan project by producing realistic project plans, estimates, and work activities at the task level
    • Manage your time and team’s time effectively
    • Report progress against budget, deliverables and timeline to client and TEG Client leadership
    • Conduct regular status meetings with client and manage change in scope requests
    • Ensure the quality of all project deliverable
    • Review estimates performed by others to ensure they are realistic and complete

 

  • PROJECT MANAGER:
    • Review estimates and SOW’s for TEG Client projects for accuracy
    • Assist Sales Team with the preparation of SOW’s for new business opportunities
    • Understand the technical issues around integrating multiple platforms

  • Individuals must possess a track-record of outstanding implementation and delivering value to clients
  • Ability to partner with Sales and Delivery to provide technical implementation support, product demonstrations, business configurations and training to current and potential commercial customers
  • Develop credible and high-integrity relationships with customers, prospects and business partners 
  • Professionally and appropriately address customers’ and partners’ technical questions and issues
  • Work independently and as part of the Delivery Center Team
  • Have a "do whatever it takes" attitude and be willing to step outside their comfort zone
  • Background Check and Drug Screening is part of hiring process 
  • Available to travel regionally when necessary …expect <25%
