The Business Analyst is responsible for completing project tasks and responsibilities in applicable area (e.g. Workforce Administration, Benefits, Compensation, etc.) and ensuring that activities, tasks and deliverables are produced according to the project plan. This analyst is responsible for contributing to the success of the implementation, from design through system deployment and post go-live support. Must have the ability to coordinate with team members and stakeholders, collaborate across multiple disciplines, resolve complex issues and ensure the solution aligns with the overall business strategy.

Roles & Responsibilities
• Support implementation efforts for all project phases, activities, tasks, and deliverables in that work stream
• Acts as the liaison between your team and other project teams
• Provide applicable business process knowledge (e.g. Workforce Administration, Benefits, Compensation, etc.) and leverage leading practices
• Provide Human Capital Management (HCM) application and Cedars-Sinai organizational knowledge
• Participate in and support design session activities, including coordinating and encouraging involvement from customers and other contributors
• Manage completion of project deliverables and documentation consistent with scope, objectives and phases
• Participate in design activities, business requirements analysis, documentation, system setup and testing, training and roll out
• Support development of design and system configuration
• Support other team members through their work task execution and delivery seeking additional help where required
• Support training of resources as trainers for delivery of end user training
• Work with the work stream leads to develop integrated solutions that consider other work streams, functional areas and technology
• Provide input to timely status reports to the PMO
• Provide updates to and solicit input from various stakeholders throughout the organization, as needed
• Identify issues and risks and develop resolutions for the work stream
• Contribute to master data conversion and maintenance strategy

Experience & Qualifications:
• Experience in end-to-end HCM system implementation efforts 
• Experience in applicable business process (e.g. Workforce Administration, Benefits, Compensation, etc.) and with leading practices
• General knowledge of Human Capital Management (HCM) system applications 
• Experience in planning and support for design sessions
• Experience in completion of project deliverables 
• Experience in facilitating and participating in design activities, requirements analysis, documentation, system setup and testing, training and rollout
• Experience in development of design and system configuration
• Experience writing and/or developing queries and/or reports in an HR environment
• Experience in working with other team members through work task execution and delivery
• Experience in planning and developing end user training
• Experience in completing weekly status reports 
• Experience in identifying issues and risks and recommending solutions 

Desired:
• Bachelor's degree 
• 4 to 8 years of general HCM experience; at least 3 years in the health care environment
• Familiarity with project management techniques, tools and phases of the project lifecycle
• Exceptional communication skills – both written and verbal
• Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
• Minimum 3 years’ experience with one or more of the following HCM software applications/platforms (e.g., PeopleSoft 9.x, Taleo, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE)
• Able to write SQL queries and reports and/or create dashboards for presenting reports/metrics
• Proven communication and problem solving capabilities
• Excellent listening and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage tasks with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong commitment to customer service
• Highly motivated and self-directed
• Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment

Physical Demands:
• Ability to move throughout all areas of the immediate and adjacent Medical Center and Health System campus, sit for long periods of time and perform data entry for long periods of time. 
• Ability to focus on and complete work with surrounding multiple activities occurring and varying noise levels.
