We currently have an exciting opportunity for a PeopleSoft Security Administrator. The primary purpose of this role is to maintain ongoing security access and maintenance of PeopleSoft Financials v.9.2. This position will be responsible for managing applications and system security and responding to problems or tasks. The PeopleSoft Security Administrator will understand the technical design of migration tasks, PS query reports and the fundamentals of creating automated and/or repeatable tasks, SOX controls, documentation, ReconNet and Universe systems.

Key Accountabilities:

  • PeopleSoft Administration for modules in 9.2 environment and oversee and maintain the master definition of all functional security roles and permissions across key applications (PeopleSoft Financials, ReconNet and Universe)

  • Provide analysis, interpretation, and potential solutions for data, process, or system concerns and resolve PeopleSoft security related issues

  • Perform complex tasks, projects or requests that involve a high level of risk, that impact user access in PeopleSoft Financials, ReconNet and Universe and determine if the access being requested is appropriate for the position and/or allowed to prevent unauthorized access.

  • Monitor applications to optimize performance, maintain security in cooperation with PeopleSoft Security administrator guidelines.

  • Monitor reports and determine if security access is appropriate and properly documented.

  • Consult and collaborate with technical business, development, project, and application support teams to design, develop and implement functional security access requirements and exchange data as appropriate for system security restrictions in the systems to meet those requirements.

  • Strong analytical skills, identifying and recommending process improvements and assist in creating standardizations

  • Ability to work across all PeopleSoft security requests to; create, modify and delete access and ensure proper procedures have been followed.

  • Perform quarterly and semi-annual SOX and SOD reviews.

  • Provide guidance and training on PeopleSoft security to team members and end-users.

  • Gain thorough understanding of processes and make suggestions for improvements, when appropriate.

  • Participates in projects to implement services such as installation, and the analysis and documentation of accounting processes and procedures.

  • Undertake additional duties or special projects on an ad hoc basis.


Skills/Abilities/Experience & Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor s degree preferred

  • Minimum 2+ years experience in a combination of the following areas: data administration and analysis, report writing query, PeopleSoft Financial application access control/security (or similar system)administration required

  • Experience working in application access control (e.g., Recon Net, and/or UniVerse)

  • Experience with PeopleSoft Financials (including security, query and tree manager); SharePoint and/or updating web sites; Preparing agendas and scheduling/coordinating meetings

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion

  • Critical thinking and analytical skills to make decisions when there are no clearly defined rules and procedures in place

  • Ability to be self-motivated and able to plan and execute duties, activities, and responsibilities with little supervision

  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Access, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.)

  • Excellent organizational, verbal and written communication skills

  • Work well independently and on a team. Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Detail-oriented, ability to multi-task and excellent time management skills

  • Strong aptitude for technology and use of a variety of computer/technology programs

  • Ability to build and maintain strong relationships, and resolve customer service issues in a positive and professional manner

  • Exhibit ability to quickly become familiar with and organize multiple priorities and processes

  • Exercise flexibility, initiative, good judgment, and discretion

  • Ability and willingness to adapt to change

  • Authorized to work for any employer in the United States

  • Ability to pass a thorough background check

WORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL & MENTAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist, and reach on a daily basis.

  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment.

  • Ability to work at least 40+ hours per week from the Company s Houston, Texas corporate office with flexibility based on project needs

  • Regular and on-time attendance

  • Able to lift and move up to 25 pounds occasionally
