Job Description

Provides installation; maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware.

1. Monitors and responds to hardware and software problems utilizing a variety of hardware and software testing tools and techniques.

2. Installs and configures applications software and related hardware (such as desktops; servers; and related peripherals like printers; scanners; drives; monitors and video teleconferencing hardware).

3. Provides software and system troubleshooting and support.

4. Provides technical support and training to end-users.

5. Maintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assigned.

6. Participates in special projects as required.

Education

Associates Degree in a related technical discipline; or the equivalent combination of education; technical certifications or training; or work experience.

BS College degree preferred

Qualifications

1-2 years minimum of directly related experience supporting information systems operations.

Data Analysts/ Logistics Information Assurance Certification:   IAT 2 (GSEC and/or Security + CE and/or SSCP) Job duties: Performs the following duties with minimal oversight:

* Provides Information Technology support in the development of system requirements; product evaluation; system configuration support and technical documentation writing. Will work closely with Network Administrators; System Administration; Database Administrator and Program Developers to understand hardware and software requirements for current maintenance requirements and future system purchases. ? Provides support in the configuration and maintenance of desk tops and software installation. Provides support in the area of IA support ensuring that all necessary patches and upgrades have been properly installed and configured. Performs backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity. Areas of support include Windows based system; UNIX variants.
