Northrop Grumman Defense Systems in Huntsville, AL is currently seeking a Scrum Master to join our team in Huntsville, Alabama on the Integrated Air and Missile Defense (IAMD) Battle Command System (IBCS) foreign military sales efforts. IBCS integrates disparate radars and weapons to construct a far more effective IAMD enterprise. IBCS delivers a single integrated air picture with unprecedented accuracy and broadens surveillance and protection areas. By implementing IBCS into their militaries, other nations will transform their IAMD capabilities in a manner consistent with the U.S. Army.

In this role, the selected candidate will work with a highly motivated and engaged Agile team to provide oversight of the Agile framework and ensure operational excellence in product deliveries. Provide guidance and help educate the team in Scrum, Kanban, and ensuring that the Agile process is being followed. Help remove impediments and fosters an environment for high-performing team dynamics, continuous flow, and relentless improvement. Conducts multidisciplinary research and collaborates with equipment designers and/or hardware engineers in the planning, design, development, and utilization of electronic data processing systems for product and commercial software. Determines computer user needs; analyzes system capabilities to resolve problems on program intent, output requirements, input data acquisition, programming techniques, and controls; prepares operating instructions; designs and develops compilers and assemblers, utility programs, and operating systems. Ensures software standards are met.

Basic Qualifications : This position may be filled at the Principal or Sr Principal level.
Principal Scrum Master: 5 Years with Bachelors in Science; 3 Years with Masters; 0 Years with PhD, OR an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Senior Principal Scrum Master: 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD, OR an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Bachelor's degree in STEM field OR an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • 2+ years working in an Agile team
  • Thorough knowledge of agile principles, practices and methods
  • Practical experience of servant-leadership in agile teams
  • Scrum Master certification (i.e. Scrum Inc, Scrum Alliance, SAFe, Scrum@Scale, etc.)
  • System engineering or software engineering experience
  • Must have ability to obtain security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with Atlassian tools JIRA and Confluence
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience (3 years with Master's degree; 0 years with PhD).
  • Mixed environment integration
  • SAFe experience
  • SAFe certification
  • DoD Secret Clearanc
Salary Range: $92,000 USD - $138,000 USD
Salary Range 2: $114,000 USD - $170,000 USD

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
