Northrop Grumman Space Systems seeks a Principal/Senior Principal Software Integration & Test Engineer to join our growing team. The position will be located in Manhattan Beach, CA.

What you'll get to do:

You will be a part of a team supporting the ground segment of a communication system, working from the early development stage (creating test approaches, drivers, automated testing scripts) to verification and, eventually, deployment. Systems deployed are Linux-based and targeted for various cloud and virtual infrastructures. There is the possibility to travel to sites (CONUS and OCONUS) to learn and execute remote testing, but this is not required.

This position may be filled at a higher grade based on qualifications listed below.

Qualifications:

This requisition may be filled at either a Principal Software Integration & Test Engineer or Senior Principal Software Integration & Test Engineer grade.
Basic Qualifications for a Principal Software Integration & Test Engineer:
  • 5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 3 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 0 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access or active SCI access
  • Experience in software scripting, preferably in Perl and Java/C++
Basic Qualifications for a Senior Principal Software Integration & Test Engineer:
  • 9 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree; 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree; 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD
  • Active DoD Top Secret clearance with the ability to obtain SCI access or active SCI access
  • Experience in software scripting, preferably in Perl and Java/C++
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Degree(s) in STEM discipline(s)
  • Experience scripting in a Red Hat Linux environment
