Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a Embedded Software Engineer3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Redondo Beach, CA.
The selected candidate will participate in the development, test, and integration of embedded Flight SW applications for use in a MilSatCom product. The candidate should be self-motivated and eager to learn new and exciting things in a challenging environment. The tasks involved would involve working with the SW team to perform code and unit test, integration and test, and verification of software requirements. The role will also involve interfacing with various external teams (system engineering, hardware engineering, etc.) in order to meet the program milestones with a quality product.
The selected candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and thrive in a fast-paced work environment with high expectations, significantly diverse assignments, collaborative/team settings across all levels. Candidate must be comfortable in a lab environment and be able to collaborate closely with system engineers, hardware designers, integration/test engineers, as well as software team engineers Basic Qualifications:
Position requires an active DoD Secret clearance
5 years of software development and/or test experience with a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Bachelor's degree; or 3 years of software development experience with a STEM Master's degree
Experience with software engineering development processes
Experience with C/C++
Experience with Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
Experience with testing software in an embedded environment
Experience with software driven tests for verifying hardware components
Experience with test environments including test sets and flight-like hardware
- Experience with scripting languages, and test tools on Unix/Solaris, Linux, and Windows platforms
Experience with MILSATCOM systems
