Job Description

Pyramid Consulting are hiring for a Procurement Specialists, for Atlanta, GA location and this is full time role with our one of the client.                                

Job Location: Atlanta, GA

Job Type: Long term Contract

Summary:  The Procurement Specialist is responsible for ordering and selecting equipment and services for businesses at the best price to ensure the businesses' continued functionality, including IT Equipment daily purchases and inventory management.

Essential duties:

  • Write and analyze requisitions, invoices, equipment requests, and orders.
  • Track all purchase orders and inventory (confirm delivery dates, check the status of POs, etc.) and work with suppliers to ensure timely receipt of all equipment.
  • Assist with negotiation with suppliers for price, quality, and timeliness on approved items.
  • Interact with internal customers (requirements, escalations, follow-up, etc.)
  • Complete monthly closing procedures for purchasing activities.
  • Maintain and enter transfer orders for equipment between locations.
  • Maintain knowledge of current trends and developments in the field and applies new knowledge to the performance of assigned responsibilities.
  • Manage payment processing for suppliers (invoices, credits, etc.)
  • Perform other department-level duties as assigned including administrative functions.
  • Provide training and communicate policies and information pertinent to purchasing.
  • Participate in the vendor response evaluation process; develop financial and technical evaluation documents; conduct analysis of vendor responses and verify vendor compliance.


  • Bachelor’s in business administration.
  • Experience Supply Chain or Operations Management (preferred
  • Purchasing experience (<2 years preferred);
  • knowledge of purchasing & financial practices.
