Overview:

Exostar’s IAM platform is an advanced and complex technology platform that includes diverse services such as PKI (Public Key Infrastructure), MFA (Multi Factor Authentication), and proofing. The Product Manager is expected to work closely with technology delivery teams on implementing features and functions - it is extremely critical that the Product Manager has a solid technology background and has good exposure to Identity and Access Management area. They should also have client-facing experience and be comfortable making strong decisions with strategic, financial and client implications.

  • Developing and day-to-day management of the strategic 3 year product roadmap
    • Using feedback from Gartner, Market, Customers and Internal stakeholders to define product features and functions
    • Refining tactical 1 year roadmap and guide product development to deliver the roadmap
    • Making tough tactical prioritization decisions while focusing on long-term goals
    • Building trust with stakeholders through transparency and collaboration
    • Driving roadmap elements with focus on customer satisfaction that lead to upsell and growth
  • Refining and delivering upon requirements in partnership with Product Owners, Business Analysts and UX experts
  • Building continuous product improvements by working closely with technology teams using agile methodologies and revising the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) with customers and other stakeholders
  • Supporting lead generation and product branding with the assistance of marketing
  • Driving product innovation, understanding the market and competition
  • Working closely with Research & Development (R&D) on new product ideas; help and support R&D and technology teams to build new products that can be monetized and drive customer adoption for these new products
  • Indirectly managing a team of Product Owners, UX Architects and Business Analysts that drives the product strategy and development
  • Guiding product development teams on design, development, integration, and release of identity services with a strong focus on customer experience - ensuring ongoing reliability, performance, and scalability
  • Driving customer satisfaction by conducting customer surveys around product functions/features; tracking and managing customer satisfaction
  • Ensuring product compliance with existing and contracted standards such as NIST 800
    • Driving compliance roadmap and audits; understand contracted compliance SLAs and ensure that the SLAs are met
    • Understanding technical and non-technical contractual SLAs and ensure product adheres to those SLAs
  • Aiding sales on RFP responses, proposals, customer demonstrations, pricing etc. to meet revenue and margin goals such as delivering GTM (go-to-market) artifacts needed for sales success
  • Owning product Profit & Loss (P&L); make adequate financial decisions for revenue based roadmap items and work through sales to close them; owning, managing and reporting team budgets
  • Managing clients on daily including escalations, User Group discussions, understanding client use cases and providing adequate solutions and direction; building consensus among clients on competing priorities

You meet our “must haves” for this role if:

  • You have a Bachelor’s degree – preferably in Computer Science, Security or a related field
  • You have 6+ years of experience in technology engineering and business analysis/management including personnel management, product delivery, budget ownership and customer relationship management
  • You have 3 – 5 years of experience in:
    • Digital Product Management – including an understanding of the Product Management Lifecycle, engineering, operations, support, customers, roadmaps, pricing, etc.
    • Identity and Access Management – within engineering or product management
    • Experience with Multi-factor Authentication, Public Key Cryptography, and Public Key Infrastructure
  • Familiarity with the market and competition; able to drive innovation
  • Demonstrated Experience working with and implementing compliant solutions to US Federal PKI and SAFE-BioPharma Certificate Authorities
  • Experience translating Federal Certificate Policies (CP) and Certificate Practices Statements into business CP and CPS
  • Experience maintaining PKI and OTP compliance and working with external auditors
  • Designing, building, or managing PKI enclaves conforming to the policies and standards of the Federal Bridge Certification Authority (FBCA), National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and other policies and standards as required.
    • Participation in related audits including interpretation and response to audit findings
  • Working knowledge of NIST 800-63-3 “Digital Identity Guidelines”
  • Familiarity or previous experience acting in the Policy Management Authority role or similar Trusted Role as part of a Certificate Authority Policy.
  • Demonstrate a solid understanding of US ITAR controls as it relates to PKI/OTP solution implementationYou have a strong financial sense and are able to make decisions regarding product investments, pricing, purchases, budgets, vendor negotiations, etc.
  • You are knowledgeable in global security and compliance standards relating to customer data management
  • You are experienced in customer relationship management including addressing needs, developing awareness of services, communication, delivering clear requests for information and resolving potential conflicts
  • You are skilled at making informed and timely decisions related to product feature design and direction and possess exceptional critical thinking/analytical skills
  • You are comfortable engaging in detailed technical discussions with engineering and operational teams in order to make technical product decisions
  • Your written, verbal and interpersonal skills are outstanding
  • You are a US person—this is a requirement due to ITAR regulations
  • Must be able to gain and maintain Trusted Role
