Our Opportunity:

Charles Schwab's Digital Services enterprise is responsible for defining and developing the digital strategy, offers, and experiences to drive the growth and loyalty of existing and prospective clients and accelerate Schwab’s digital transformation.  Digital Services oversees the platforms that support retail and registered independent advisor (RIA) clients, including, Schwab Mobile, the StreetSmart suite of platforms and, digital advice solutions, including Schwab Intelligent Portfolios and Schwab Intelligent Advisory, firm-wide data solutions and business innovation. The Digital Messaging team is responsible for the vision and strategy to deliver high quality and engaging digital experiences through interactive, multi-channel messaging. We also manage cross-enterprise platforms and delivery channels including service messaging (chat, document sharing).

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager on the Digital Messaging team.  The Product Manager will be responsible for leading a matrixed, cross-functional program team working on the integration of Schwab’s digital messaging platform with other cross-enterprise platforms (trading, transactional status, big data/machine learning). The successful candidate needs to be able to multi-task and provide leadership in a shifting environment.   Flexibility, strong organizational skills, attention to detail, solid communication skills and a client-first attitude are essential qualities for success in this role.

What you’ll do:

  • Work closely with the leadership team to understand needs and deliver on the vision and goals for our client's digital messaging needs
  • Multi-task in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment organizing activities with team members to achieve success
  • Define and priorities the product backlog, to deliver on business vision and priorities; ensuring the team knows with accurate detail what they are expected to build
  • Ensure customer-driven design across user pain points, market needs, and usability test results
  • Execute the development process with technical teams, internal partners and external vendors from beginning to end including writing business requirements / use cases / user stories, working with legal / compliance, conducting user acceptance testing and communicating project status to project team.
  • Resolve problems and partner with peers, technical teams and our internal clients to provide solutions and timely resolution.
  • Drive sprint and release plans together with Scrum Master
  • Participate in retrospectives to continually improve team processes

  • Insightful problem solving
  • Financial Services industry experience is a plus but not required
  • 5+ years of experience
