Job Description

We are looking for a Project Management Specialist/Deputy Project Manager to provide support on Federal contracts.
The Project Management Specialist is responsible for performing Project Management tasks in accordance with client specifications, within budget and schedule. This role will also be responsible for participating in the planning, directing and managing of Projects activities for Federal Clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide project communications and actions tracking


  • Provide weekly status reporting to client management and Project and Program Managers


  • Effectively allocate tasks to Team Members to maximize productivity

  • Provide issue, risk tracking and change control management

  • Maintain project distribution list and contact list


  • Interpreting and analyzing project control reports, suggesting necessary actions where appropriate

  • Perform other Project-related tasks
Basic Qualifications:

  • 4 year Degree required or 5 additional years of relevant work experience


  • 3 years of experience in project administration and support

  • 3 years of experience with Microsoft Excel


  • 2 years of experience working with project management activities to include: status reporting, metrics reporting and analysis, finance reporting, time reporting, expense reporting, resource tracking, deliverable tracking, issue and risk tracking, change control management, and service management reporting

  • 2 years of experience with Word and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to contribute to and supervise a high-performing, motivated workgroup by applying interpersonal and collaboration skills to achieve project goals and realize value

  • Ability to contribute to the creation of an environment that facilitates high performance and motivates individuals to work collaboratively as a team

  • Ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment

  • Good working knowledge of Office 365 including Visio, Outlook, Access, SharePoint, and MS Project
  • Agile Certifications (CSM and SAFe) and Project Management (PMPO Certifications are a plus)
